Customers are delighted by the Telo Internet Home Phone Service, especially the call quality and ease of use. Many also appreciate the low cost, overall reliable performance, and simple setup. The availability of many features is also a plus for users. A few customers, however, have expressed concerns about the porting process.

I took a star off becuase it says free but the most useful features like ability to use the mobile app you have to have the premier plan a little disappointed. but calls are good and it seems reliable

I haven't had a home phone for a while and wanted to get service but without paying a lot. Just paid for my first month and was a total of $3.85. Paying only for taxes. This was easy to setup and just had to create an account via their website. You can keep track of everything on their site or probably an app they have. The built-in voice mail is also nice. At times the audio is a little crackly, but that could either be the OOMA unit or the fact that I use a Panasonic phone and not the OOMA phone. Either way, it is MUCH clearer than cell phones.

Great call quality, very inexpensive (taxes only service) and you can use this for emergency services…. I didn’t know before buying this that most VOIP services you can’t call 911 with… this you can!!! I am buying for rest of family!!
Highly recommend!

I love Ooma. It has saved me tons of money. I have ditched my landline and gone with Ooma. Quality is decent, price is unbeatable. The only drawback is that your phone goes down when your power is out.

This is better then Net talk or magic jack. I like the premium package. The price is great and so far i haven't had any bad experiences with Ooma service. If you go with premium you get a ton of features. You will have a monthly fee for taxes and regulatory, but that is very low.

Bought Ooma to reduce land line cost. Worked well, so then got Ooma Lynx for separate FAX line. Am now paying around $14/month for two phone lines (one voice, one dedicated FAX), and both work well (I did have to change speed on my FAX and reduce it down to 9600, although 14.4k also seemed to work). This includes $10/month for Ooma Premier and about $4/monti in taxes. I am not a big land line or FAX user, so the reduced speed did not matter that much to me, but the reduced cost for two phone lines did. Voice quality is very good and I like their website to check account and configure devices. I recommend to give them a try. My Internet provider is Comcast, and it does matter to have a decent Internet speed.

I think this an excellent phone service. It has many options that other phone services do not offer. The service is reasonably priced for what you get and the call quality is exceptional. Setup is straight forward and the online portal is very intuitive.

My Omma Home Phone system was easy to install and set up. The price was right and the sound quality is great. The only thing that I do miss that I had with my land line phone service was when the power went out I still had phone serve.

The title says it all. I thought I would try one of these units out, how bad could it be. Most of the phone world is VOIP already so it is just the last few miles that is still copper and for which AT&T has been charging a bunch.
I followed the instructions and withing about 15 minutes I had the unit installed and updated, chose a local phone number and I was making my first call !
Just to be sure I gave the unit 3 weeks before porting over my old AT&T number and I can tell you that I have no reason to ever go back.
The clarity is great, the cordless phones have useful features .
I'm a big fan of OOma

Love still having the "landline" and this is the best option. Nice to have the backup to my mobile device. Pretty much pays for itself in 3-5 months with thatcjust dependent on whether you want to keep an existing number or just get a brand new number assigned.
Super easy to setup and connecr.

Love Ooma. Had service for over 10 years; although, this is my third Telo, so previous one lasted 5 years each, on average.

I've owned a Telo for several months now. It worked well out of the box, and has continued to be a true upgrade to the POTS phone we had before.
The only issues we have had were because we tried using a line modem to extend our local Ethernet into the room where we had the Telo. Turns out the line modem, though fast enough, had too much propagation delay (long ping time) for VOIP to be solid. It caused our side to stop talking out, though we could still hear the other end. Plugging in to a wired Ethernet connection solved the issue.
I recently purchased another Telo for my aging mother, because Ooma also offers a LifeAlert-style speaker phone that connects wirelessly to the Telo. Like the Telo, it is a one-time purchase, and no service fee.

Easy setup, it does what it is supposed to do. I replaced a single-line VoIP service by AT&T. This looks less expensive, and the IOS ap is very flexible.

Works well. Decent call quality, could be better if I installed it between cable modem and router as recommended instead of off router. However, I had some issues installing it that way initially and didn't want to spend a day debugging it. Price is low for service, especially if you don't need the premium features.

I am so glad we took a chance and purchased the Ooma. The sound is clear and that's using satellite internet in a small mountain town. It's so nice to pay under $5 a month in taxes for phone service. We did pay for a full year of premium serve too. It's still less than half of what Frontier charged us for a basic phone line.

Easy to install, works as advertised. Although there is nothing particularly outstanding about the device, it gets a five star because it does what it said it will do, and the service is rather inexpensive. Can’t beat that.

Overall I am very pleased with the Ooma Telo both in initial setup and call quality. I choose a new number for my city, so I can't comment on ease of number porting. I'm running the Telo behind my router and so far the call quality has been spot on.
