Works great. If you pay the extra price for the call blocking features they port your land line very quickly. Works completely as advertised

Easy to install, works as advertised, great app. Only negative is porting old number. Process takes weeks when others do it in days. When calling support told porting works part time starting mid day on the west coast.

We've had Ooma for several years now in two different states. Our original device was damaged in a move and it was an easy choice to purchase another to stick with Ooma. Quality is very good and the price is fantastic. No dropped calls at all.

Excellent Way To Save On Phone Service

I installed this service in late December. It was very easy to install. I only had the basic service with Frontier, no caller ID and I paid for all my outgoing calls. They increased this plan and now it is $21.80 without any outgoing calls. My Ooma bill is only $3.83 a month and I have caller ID and can make all the calls I want (local and long distance) without extra charges. I still don't have my phone number ported because they tell I they don't have the ability to port in my area. I emailed the company to make sure there is no way they can port and am waiting to hear from them before I cut off my Frontier service. I have no problem going with a new number.

I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a phone option that is not the cable company. You can't beat the monthly taxes and fees (about $4 for me) and good performance. It was easy to setup and their customer service is good.

Ooma, key part of cord cutting!

I recently cut the cord with Frontier! Went from $240/month triple play 4 HDTV to $105 with no loss of channels, phone, etc. Solution included porting my landline from Frontier to Ooma. Process was easy and pretty painless, with the exception of Frontier's foul up. Voice quality is great with Ooma and I still have voice mail and full service via the same cordless phones I used before. I also installed Mohu 50 OTA antenna, Tablo 4 channel OTA streaming and DVR solution with 2TB HD of storage, 4 2017 Roku streaming sticks, SlingTV with Sports package and upgraded Wi-Fi to whole home mesh with Netgear Orbi 2 node AC3000 solution. Obviously had some significant outlay upfront, but payback in 6 months! Very satisfied with the whole solution.

    Works For Me

I got sick of calling people from home and them saying....What....What...on what all cell phones really are.....terrible. Thought I would try this out. Fantastic! I can now be clearly heard and understood. A big difference from my iPhone 6S Plus. I got a Panasonic Bluetooth cordless phone set and have the best of all worlds. Ooma gives you a second number and you can separate that if you like. I ported in an age-old landline number which I had sitting on PagePlus for $40 a year. Great sound and clarity (be sure to get a decent cordless phone) and great features like blacklisting and many many more. I couldn't be more pleased.

We have been using Ooma for almost 2 years. It costs us $3.85 per month for taxes. We transferred our landline number we have had since 1986. I bought this unit to replace our old one that was struck by lightning. Call quality is excellent. Plugged phone line from unit into wall and all the phones in the house ring when we get a call. Even my wife likes it and she hates change. We are very satisfied customers.

Ooma wanted $99 for this device. Bought it online from Best Buy for only $79. Same original equipment as Ooma. Hooked it up and works fine with Ooma service, which is less than $7/mo. I was paying AT&T over $40/mo for home phone service so I'm now saving over $30/mo. Good deal.

I like that I know what I will be paying for my phone bill and am in control and not at the mercy of past phone companies. Having a landline is extremely important to me in-addition to cellular. I may go up to premium in the future but for now I am greatly enjoying this service. I I am an IT professional and have placed this device in a few of my customers homes switching them from Comcast phone service to Ooma., It's nice to know that there are no hidden charges. I like doing business with honest companies.

Set up is very simple. It really was plug and play. The service works just as you would hope, and it is free just like they promise. You pay for your local communications taxes and nothing else for local calling and domestic long distance. For me, that is six dollars a month. The only thing we pay for his international calling, and that is cheap. There are some premium features available for a monthly fee that we don't need them. If you want to good and easy to use VoIP adapter, I definitely recommend the Ooma. If you need more flexibility or want to use it after with another service, you will need to pick something else.

Priced reasonably, easy to set up, save much $$ over other services. My original home phone number ported faster than promised. You need to use a temp number for a week or two.

Easy to setup and has good sound quality. We ported our number over and we are now saving a lot of money on the phone bill. You can even move and keep your same number. Great product. Wish i switched a long time ago.
