Frustrated with the cost for a home phone with Comcast and CenturyLink I finally found a VOIP system that makes sense. Easy to set up, great voice quality. Only negative is the cost to port your old phone number, but in hindsight I don't have any telemarketers calls anymore!

I bought this product to lower my phone bill and still have a home phone to go with my cell phone. It's working fine so far. No one has really noticed a difference in call quality.Only one releative said the voice sounded louder.True test will be when porting my land line is complete sometime this week. So far it's been working fine.

I hooked it up in 10 minutes [as it took me 8 to read the directions] and it worked great right out of the box, and I mean that literally.
I wired my whole house [4 phones ] and all work perfectly.
Now I tell all of my friends - best buy [pun intended] really.

I put off installing this phone for 2 weeks because I assumed it would take 2-3 hours. I had it set up and made a test call in about 20 minutes. The calls are clear the phone has just as good a call quality as the xfinity VoIP it replaced.

I am so pleased with Ooma. I have cancelled my landline with a major company where I was paying $30/month for local ONLY! I purchased for $100 Ooma's set, hooked up my phone, ported my number for a one time fee of $40. Now, I'll be paying about $3 a month for unlimited local AND long distance (in the U.S.). Fantastic deal. And, so far it's working just great. Clear calls, no dropped calls. Wonderful.

This is a fantastic product for us since we have great internet service and 1950's landline service in our rural area. This may not make sense for everyone, though it is just the ticket for us. We are able to use our new all in one fax machine with no problem attached to this Ooma device.

I was worried about spending so much money on a phone system I didn't know much about, but I am so happy I did. Installation was quick and easy. The phone works perfectly, no dropped calls or anything like with the magic jack. It did take me a bit to figure out that I no longer had to put in area codes to make local calls and to use the 1 when making long distant calls. Other than that it has been a breeze and we love it.

I should have made the switch months ago, you won't regret it.

Ooma is the best decision I have ever made. I use Comcast internet and Ooma works flawless. I do long conference calls all the time and Ooma is perfect quality the entire call. I had Net Talk Duo before and Ooma is light years superior. Best phone I have ever had including old traditional land line service.

I love this little box. It was a way for me to get rid of cable phone service. Cable was charging me $40 a month for phone service. this device does the exact same thing for less than $14. The initial price of the box ($150) will be payed off in approximately 6 months.
So far, I have not noticed any call degradation. I did a one time, but Im guessing it was the person's phone on the other end. There was a delay in the sounds. But it was only noticeable on 1 call so far. So, Im guessing it was their cell phone that was the problem.
It seems to be pretty decent in quality. Doesnt seem cheap or flimsy. You may have to do a bit of internet research on the Ooma box and its features to get all of its potential. I plan on installing "whole house wiring" for phone lines, internet lines and cable lines. From what I understand, you can put this box anywhere you have a phone jack. (i.e. all phone jacks run back to a central location where your internet router would be).

I have had the Ooma Telo for a month. So far I think it is great. I did have some major back and forth issues between my local phone service (AT&T) and Ooma when I ported my number. Ooma needs to work on making this process easier. I love all the extra features you can add on (especially the blacklist) and for $10 a month you can't beat the price.

I researched a lot of VOIP phone devices and I chose Ooma because I didn't want any monthly bills. After you pay for the device and if you do not upgrade to premium service, that's it! No monthly bill. I work from home and found this to be very reliable when I'm on conference calls.

I have long wanted to get rid of my costly land line, and finally a product came along that I can trust and that lives up to my expectations. This is a great alternative if you want a hard wire connected phone. My $40 a month phone bill is gone and now I only pay monthly taxes.

This does exactly what it says it does. It takes 10 minutes from opening the box, picking a phone number you want, and having a dial tone. That's it. I just got my first "phone bill". $3.71 for the month. That's a lot better than the $40 I was paying. The only, so minimal I dare even call them complaints, I have is the call quality isn't perfect. I will hear disruptions from time to time, but you really have to be listening for them to even notice. And the people I call will sometimes have strange names come up on their caller ID. That's it. Otherwise it is exactly what you'd think. Pay $150 now and never have a phone bill again. Mine will have paid for itself in four months.

This is third Ooma box I have installed -- this one was the second one at one of the locations. It works like a top on top of Verizon FIOS.
