What a spectacular visual and audio, this 4K version did justice to the amazing visuals that was shot in imax 70 mm on the big screens. The opening scenes gave me chills and the movie never disappoints. I thoroughly enjoyed this viewing and would recommend to anyone looking for a top tier movie to own that to look no further.

One of the best movies of the century...it tells J. Robert Oppenheimer's story and the history of the atomic bomb. It demonstrates the dilemma between science and politics. The acting is superb, as well as the cinemetography. I think this one is Oscar bound...I'd vote for Cillian Murphy if I were part of the Academy.

Other than Interstellar, this is a must-have 4K blu-ray to own from director Christopher Nolan. Christopher Nolan and his crew did a fantastic job with this film. The interchanging ratios with the widescreen & IMAX ratios of the film make this a great visual spectacle for all 4K TVs. I have watched this film 2.5 times in IMAX & 70 mm formats. I have watched his film repeatedly ever since. And yes, I also purchased Barbie the week after to complete my Barbenheimer Summer of 2023 Blockbuster package.

Oppenheimer film is definitely one of Christopher Nolan's best! This movie holds its own & it's a great historical experience in biography of Oppenheimer's life going through the process of his genius, tragedy & triumph of making the Atomic Bomb. It's also a an awareness but a reminder of how dangerous nuclear weapons can be if put in the wrong hands. Fantastic movie! Another masterpiece to add to my Christopher Nolan's movie collection!

I'm a firm believer in physical media. Streaming and digital libraries are very handy and useful, but they should never replace physical media as a whole. I say this because all of Christopher Nolan's movies since "The Dark Knight" (except "Inception") have been shot with IMAX cameras which creates a tall, almost perfectly square image. The 4K, Blu-Ray, and even DVD releases for his films preserve the IMAX ratio as much as a 16:9 TV can allow. It's not "true" IMAX, but it still fills out your whole screen magnificently. ALL of these films have been edited on streaming to contain top/bottom widescreen bars during the scenes shot with IMAX cameras; it feels like an actual crime. But "Oppenheimer" on 4K Blu-Ray thankfully maintains the IMAX ratio and DTS sound mixing to glorious affect. Not only is this arguably Nolan's best looking movie, but it's also remarkably well mixed in the sound department in a way that Nolan's movies haven't been since "Batman Begins". The scenes of what Oppenheimer is envisioning in his mind of particles colliding and bombs going off are simply breathtaking to look at and can deliver quite the punch on a proper surround sound system (not a soundbar). I don't think I need to explain just how great this film is, but I hope this at least encourages you to buy it on a physical copy (that also comes with a digital code for your convenience) and to understand why physical media is still important.

An incredible film from Christopher Nolan, and the one that etched his name in the Oscars book with wins for Best Picture and Best Director, amongst other things. I saw it at the theater in Imax, which is impossible to improve upon, but watching this 4K version on my 65" Sony Bravia OLED with sound bar at home is still pretty sweed! Great film in the best format available for home viewing!

Amazing film. As someone that knows the story of Oppenheimer very well I was really excited to see this movie. I so enjoyed it I wanted to have the physical copy of it. The 4K version is very good and the soundtrack is immersive. I highly recommend seeing this on physical media vs streaming.

Very compelling storytelling. Lots of creative choices with the visuals, and audio. Cillian Murphy was amazing. It was awesome seeing such an ensemble cast. I loved how even the seemingly low energy scenes with speeches and whatnot still had so much energy injected into them.

Very well-made film about J. Robert Oppenheimer, the man who ushered in the age of nuclear weapons and changed the world forever. Long but never boring, this is an important subject for everyone today to know about. Hard to believe that in the 78 years since the atom bomb was used the first time (most people don't think of WWII as the only "nuclear war" in history) it has never been used again. Oppenheimer would have never believed the human race would last so long without destroying itself with the genie he'd released from the bottle, but here we still are all these years later. This is a very well done and well researched film and it really gives some insight into the man who never recovered from the guilt he felt from making the end of the world a true possibility.

In a day and age of streaming sometimes you need to get a physical copy for maximum enjoyment. The visuals and audio of the 4K disc exceeds anything that could ever be streamed
