This is a great heater, but you need to know what you're getting. First, this is an infrared heater. Infrared heaters heat objects not air. So if you will have this next to you at your desk then great. If you want to heat up a room you'd be better off with a ceramic heater. Second, note there is no fan on this heater. It will take longer to heat a room, but I don't want a fan because fans make noise. This heater is super quiet. Third, the wattage settings are 400 and 800 watts. That's lower than most ceramic heaters at 750 and 1500 Watts, but I don't want or need to use that much electricity. So the power level on this heater is perfect. Finally, I would say my only criticism is I really wish there was a timer on this heater, but at least it has tip over protection. The heater will shut off if tipped over due to a safety switch on the bottom. I should also warn you that I have hardwood floors, and I saw some reviewers say they experienced problems with the safety switch on carpet, but I don't have any experience with that. I also saw some people say the heater broke after a few months so I bought the Best Buy 2 year protection plan just in case. So far it has been a month in the winter so we use it every day and it still works fine. One final recommendation is make sure you like infrared heaters. The heat is "sun-like" which I love, but perhaps some people don't like it. Hope this review helps your decision making.

This type of heater doesn't blow hot air it emits it. You have to be very close to it to feel it. It does not heat even the smallest space like a restroom. I would recommend this for a small office, to where it is underneath a desk.

Determining when the unit is on and which setting it is on can be tricky. The dial goes round and round in both directions, but if you wait about 30 seconds it is possible to figure out which setting you have it on. In every other way this is the best heater I’ve seen.

Great heater. It heats up very quickly and can keep a large room very warm. Doesn't make any noise. The best part of this heater is, there is no assembly required.

Misled by the other reviews, I bought this lightweighted heater. After turning on, I immediately smelled plastic. Then I turned it off and found a piece of white plastic inside the grid cover. Fortunately I got it out. Then I turned it on again. Hmm, it still has smell. I have to open my windows. I don't know when the smell is gone. Going to return to Best buy.

Exactly what we were looking for. It has no fan so it's quiet and doesn't interfere with the TV. We have an old quartz heater that after 40 tears is showing it's age, this is a very nice upgrade. We turn it on and point it at our sofa so the seats are nice and toasty when we come into the living room.

This is my third one. Bought this same model in black and it didn't last long but these white ones, wow! Toasty heat and quiet. Very quiet.

Shuts off every 45-1 hr. I read you have to plug out for 10 minutes to reset. I did and shuts back off after 45 minutes. It's an extreme hassle to constantly turn off and on. well unplug and plug out. Works well when it in though. May take back.

This heater heats up fast. It's good for smaller rooms.
