About 2 years ago my central furnace for both heat/AC started to act up and I was told that I would have to replace my HVAC system! ALL the ductwork for my home was insulated by a state weatherization program. Well, that would be another whole story into itself; as it caused condensation problems that damage my floors when they insulated my metal ductwork! I decided to buy an iHeater Quartz Infrared heater; along with another brand type of infrared quartz heater(s)! THREE heaters total for zone heating! They do a great job to heat my 1300 sq' ft' Ranch-style single-level home. Now, I can say by my experience with these heaters, is the absolute TRUTH! At this point in time I wouldn't even consider of installing a furnace that have problems with the "ductwork condensation" issues reinstalled in my house to cause more damages to my home! The thermostats on these units are awesome they shut off and come on at your desired comfort level once they're set. As I'm homebound, I can adjust the heaters individually with a remote control. As I have an open floor plan, I can place them strategically and get the best comfort possible! If it's extremely cold out and if the bathroom is on the exterior wall I leave the vanity doors open to ensure that heat gets to the pipes! My quartz heaters has, have and is keeping me cozy and comfortable! The Lord willing: For the cooling scenario, I'm contemplating on having "wall units" installed for the AC! And, my electric bills has never gone over 80$! I don't know too many ppl who can say that! Thanks for reading my review and letting me share it with you.
