I was hesitant at first. But went ahead and got this one. Very good image. Good with ambient light as well. We have a basement with three big windows. I do not have to close the curtains to view a movie.

I was able to get a great open box deal on this projector during the holidays. We are replacing a older 1080p projector and the difference is amazing. The picture even in 1080p is better than what we had. 4K is awesome, and the high refresh rate for the Xbox makes game play awesome. The projector runs very quiet in eco mode, the projection is pretty bright but not bright enough if the room is light is high. Setup is easy. My only issues are that sometimes we see pixel blocking when streaming shows, but I suspect that is an issue with the source and not the projector. 4K hdr can be a bit much for some shows; but there are settings to tune down the hdr effects. Please note this item does not support arc and cannot do 4K at 120

After a few weeks, the only feature I've missed from the previous HD TV I had was HDMI-CEC, so my connected gadgets can't automatically switch the projector's input and the like, and I need to keep the remote handy. Picture quality with movies and less intense games is great, and I haven't had any issues using this projector with moderate ambient light. Some things like zoom and focus are manual, but if the projector doesn't move much it'll be an infrequent inconvenience.

Sounds like it's packed with amazing features to the brim, but it DOESN'T EVEN SUPPORT side-by-side and top-and-bottom 3D, which are by far the 2 most popular 3D formats! It doesn't have those options. The first Optoma projector to EVER not have these! (afaik). Even my Optoma HD27 from 2015 has them! And I hear there won't be any firmware updates to add these features! I didn't try the other features, but heard that input lag is more than double what Optoma claims and that 4K doesn't work with Enhanced Gaming Mode ON. I was also not able to get HDR to work, but perhaps that is because I did something wrong (since I was trying to watch HDR from my PC).

      Hello, please see below.

      1. Top/Bottom and Side By Side is a limitation of the 4K DMD from TI. Therefore none of our 4K models (and competitor models) support Top/Bottom and Side By Side. Only Frame Pack and Sequential is supported (for now).

      2. Input Lag with "Enhanced Gaming Mode" enabled is 16ms for 4K 60Hz. If Enhanced Gaming Mode is not enabled, the input lag is 33ms for 4K 60Hz. Only 1080p 240Hz can achieve 4.2ms.

      3. HDR on PC is a bit unstable. Both AMD and Nvidia have known issues with HDR under Windows 10. If HDR is not working with Windows 10 and the Projector, try a power cycle of the PC OR turn HDR off and on (Windows settings). Personally, turning HDR off and on often works to resolve the no HDR issue in games with my AMD 5700TX. OptomaTechnology

Buyer Beware: This product DOES NOT have full tilt functionality. You are basically stuck manually adjusting the zoom feature and for tilt...you basically have to put some books under it. Also realize that there is no way to account for the tilting affect on the screen, so you get either the top or bottom portion out of whack. Also realize BEST BUY DOES A 15% RETURN STOCK FEE so if you purchase it and realize it doesn't actually work your stuck out of pocket 200 dollars. Don't be like me.

Hello, this product does not support Lens Shift and the product datasheet does not state that Lens Shift is supported.

In addition, if you install the projector and it is NOT level, you can use Keystone Correction (Vertical) or Four Corner Correction to correct the image. The ideal situation is to plan the install prior to installation so that neither Keystone or Four Corner is necessary.

Please read the specs carefully before purchasing. And, if assistance is needed, please contact our customer service team. OptomaTechnology

The 4k qulity is great, But dont buy it from best buy as you have to pay 15 % restocking fee if it doesn't meet your expectations. Not a smart device so you will need roku or something.
