Works well but priced high for the product. Got it on sale for the holiday as a gift

If you are a fan of Oral B’s electronic toothbrushes then this one will surprise you. This iO style toothbrush is totally different than the Genius, Smart and Pro series brushes. The head of this toothbrush does not rotate like past versions but rather vibrates in place. It still has the rounded brush head but the entire base of the brush and toothbrush mount have been changed so that only the newer style heads will work. If this is your first Oral B toothbrush then this is not a problem but if you are upgrading to an iO toothbrush be aware of the brush incompatibility. The other downside of the new iO brush heads is that they are nearly twice as expensive as the existing Oral B brush heads. The iO toothbrush looks and feels solid, I believe the brush feels like an improvement over the older style. Its slightly shorter and thinner so its easy to handle and use. This model has a very nice graphical display that helps you interface with the toothbrush. I had to laugh because the first step in using your tooth brush is selecting a language! Using the two buttons on the brush you are able to select the six different modes; daily clean, whiting, gum care, intense, sensitive and super sensitive. The display will also give you “coaching” feedback on your cleaning. You can use the buttons to go into the set up mode to manage the blue tooth connectivity, change the color of the light ring and to do a factory reset. All of these options are very easy to navigate and very intuitive once you see them. There are some things that I really like about this tooth brush itself. The brush has the Oral B timer built in so every 30 seconds the brush vibrates to let you know its time to switch to a different quadrant of your mouth. The color ring on the brush changes color to let you know when are putting the correct amount of pressure on the tooth. Too little its white, too much its red, just right it’s the color you selected in the set up. So the color ring provides great live feedback as you brush your teeth. Because the brush is lighter and not as bulky it feels more manageable. The high speed vibration vs the rotating head seems to feel more controllable when brushing as well. The charging station has also changed from the other models. The charging station is a small oval pad that uses magnets to keep the toothbrush upright while charging. I do have some concerns with this because the brush is standing on a flat surface with just magnets holding it. This is not a cheap tooth brush and if someone hits it accidentally there is nothing holding it to the base. On the plus side this brush seems to charge faster and hold a charge better than previous versions of Oral B toothbrushes. If you download the Oral B app you can link your toothbrush to your phone. The app provides real time feedback when you are brushing your teeth. The app displays rows of teeth that change color as you brush them. If you brush them long enough they turn bright white. The app has coaching, dental challenges, brushing history and head replacement notification built in. The app is easy to use and combining the apps cleaning display showing the teeth turning white as you brush them along with the light ring on the brush making sure you are supplying the correct pressure on the tooth you feel confident that you have cleaned your teeth thoroughly. The System 8 iO brush comes complete with 3 brush heads and a nice travel case. Best of all it comes in very cool violet color which is much better than the standard black or white versions.

This too brush is amazing. The LED love feedback of how you are brushing is really nice. It also came with so many accessories.

This is a great toothbrush. The dentist has said it has helped majorly in keeping plaque build up down between appointments. My teeth and mouth feel so clean after each brush.

I'm loving the Oral-B iO Series 8 Toothbrush! It's an excellent toothbrush with a great app! Design I like the feel and design. It's advanced but simple. I think it cleans my mouth well and the app tracks everything. Does a toothbrush need a color screen? No, but it sure does look nice and I like having the screen much better than not having one! The screen is very easy to read. It makes it easy to see which of the 6 brush modes you're using and easy to see the battery level that's remaining after you're done. I was concerned at first that when I would lay it down the brush head wouldn't stay up. It's actually weighted in such a way that it does - very cool. The charger is pretty cool looking too and easy to set the toothbrush on. Brushing It felt smooth and easy as I used it, like it wondered if it was cleaning my teeth well, but after a few days I started to feel it in my gums. It covers a large surface area as it brushing, it's a larger brush diameter than other circular ones I've used. I feel like I'm getting a very good clean. I love the deceptively gentle feel. It's not at all like it's too hard but it just means I don't need to work as hard. And it's good at reminding me not to push too hard. It has a light around the top of the brush that is green when you apply the correct pressure, blue if it's not enough, and red if you're pushing too hard. The App The Oral-B app is great! I had another Bluetooth toothbrush that was hard to get to connect to the phone. This was works very well, connecting with ease every time. My favorite thing may be the check boxes that it has which I'll get to later. I've only used one or two other similar apps but this one wins. While you brush it doesn't just give you a guide but it shows your teeth and shows the region of the mouth your currently brushing. Once you brush an area sufficiently it changes to white and sparkles. There's a large timer on the screen too so you can see when you've brushed for 2 minutes. There is a built in timer in the toothbrush if you're not using the app. When you're done brushing and you turn the toothbrush off it gives you a scored based on how well you brushed and shows the areas of your teeth where you were pushing too hard. If you scroll down it gives you three check boxes, one for flossing, one for brushing your tongue, and one for swishing water in your mouth. I'm bad at flossing and this is already helping me to floss more. I also love the way the app tracks your history.

The Oral-B iO Series 8 Connected Toothbrush is ahead of its time in so many ways. For many years, I have been brushing wrong, but with the iO Series 8, I can track my habits and maintain newer and healthier brushing habits.

Nice stylish design and works well. I like it a lot.

Great toothbrush. Several months and a single brush replacement later, it still gets the job done. Only downside is removing the head daily to clean so gunk and mold don’t develop.

Bought this for my wife for her birthday and she absolutely loves it. It vibrates to let you know when to change areas of your mouth and when you've brushed for the recommended amount of time.

My husband loves it. So far no issues. I have an older version of Oral-B that still works but I'll need to upgrade since the brush head is different.

Such an awesome toothbrush. With app connectivity that monitors live brushing along with over pressure warnings. A great buy for anyone looking to really get their teeth clean.

Very happy with this electric tooth brush, Much easier to get into the back of my mouth and tight areas that are difficult to reach with normally shaped tooth brushes.

I can’t imagine ever using a regular toothbrush again. Awesome product that does a great job of cleaning your teeth like a manual toothbrush could never dream of.

This brush is SUPERIOR to any other brush. This model and the next down have this ios brush. This is my 3rd electric brush and by far this is the best upgrade.

Best of the series so far. I have had several in the oral B series, this is worth upgrading to.

After getting one for myself, which is awesome, grabbed one for my finacee, and she loves it. Tells me here teeth and gums have never felt better.

The price was high but for someone who just got braces it was WORTH EVERY PENNY. Very gentle on my braces but still got that clean feeling!
