I am a musician and bought this for me and for some short performances. already used it once in public and it sounded amazing. as I said I still need to adjust the height of the bridge that holds the strings to lower a tiny bit, also the quality of strings that came with are a bit too thick...so that should adjust it. if your fingertips are still developing callous which you'll need to play guitar..you will need to press a bit hard for a while to gain the full sound that pleases. but this guitar is excellent and I connected to the amp and was awsome.

As a caveat, I have little experience with a guitar. But had done quite a bit of research and looked at many different websites. Didn't want to spend a gob of money for a first guitar to doodle. Settled on this one. Shipping was pretty quick. Ordered like on November 26th, 2010, and it arrived on December 2, 2010. Mind you, all you get is the guitar, nothing else. Comes in a non-descript box shaped like a guitar. It was properly wrapped, and arrived with no scratches or damage. Out of the box it looked great!! The tuner on it is great. Came working with batteries. I first tuned it and it was right on target. Strings were playable with no issue. For a first guitar, this is a good buy. Especially for a left hander where guitars are not in good demand so can find very few inexpensive ones in the store. For more experienced individuals, you may want to adjust the action or the strings, but out of the box, it plays well. I do believe it is adjusted before it is sent out.

Purchased this guitar for Christmas for my daughter. Finding a left-handed acoustic guitar was tough. Purchased this without any other review...took a chance...and am NOT disappointed! My brother (who seems to find fault in quite a few items) was extremely impressed :o) The auto tuner is a godsend! The sound is great.
