I bought this as a gift for my kids for Christmas. It is definitely an upgrade from the cheaper ones they had. This one comes with a pickup which is nice. Stays in tune well. I would def recommend :)

Oscar Schmidt's Tenor Ukulele is at best an average instrument. I would only recommend this ukulele for beginners. The craftsmanship quality is well done and the lines are smooth but it will "give" to a novice's mishandling. The nylon strings are great but the "C" string is metal, which is very odd. You will have trouble tuning this Ukulele and if you want to hear the true sound you will have to replace the C. In summary, the tenor ukulele is loads of fun and hours of entertainment but does need to be tuned and cared for.
