Both do exactly the same thing, the same way: boil water. This Oster kettle lacks panache, clever features and high-end technology, but there's little disputing it is a very capable boiler of water. In my view, it's exactly what the frugal buyer is looking for.

Quick way to boil water for coffee or tea, but also great for preheating water to cook with. Need to boil pasta? Heat up some water in the kettle and transfer it to your pan with noodles. It cuts the time required by a tremendous amount

This kettle is simple and works great. I have used it at least once a day since I bought it. It was well worth the money and was a decent price.

The only issue I have is that the water has a plastic taste after the water is heated. I tried cleaning it with soap, and with water and vinegar. No mater what I do it steal retains that burnt plastic taste.
