Don’t purchase if you want to make smoothies

I remember seeing my mom using Oster when growing up. I used this one 3 times and was disappointed that it didn’t blend the frozen fruit very well. It may be great for food processing but I ended up buying another blender and am much happier with this other make.

Not Your Parents Oster - Made Cheap

I don't believe this is a defect, they made it out of cheap plastic on purpose. This is the last Oster product I will ever own. No where near the ones my parents had for decades.

Not happy

Tried to order from ereplacementparts as advised by Oster - wrong size came months later. Now, after only four months use, the food processor component no longer turns - froze in place. we suspect it is because the plastic melted. Now, more wait time, more time on emails and the phone with Oster and who ever to try to get a replacement part that should be covered by the warranty. Eash.

Poor Mating

Until poor mating with the base led to the pieces grinding and wearing out. Now it will not engage the blade. Base motor works OK but the mating piece is worn out. There were times we would remove it and reposition to make sure it was sitting firmly on the base but it would not spin the blades. It is at a point where it would not work again.

Oster with bad reliability and no replacement part

The food processor cup failed quickly that the blades cannot be pulled out for washing. We managed to use it by carefully washing after each use. It then totally failed that it does not rotate (although the motor works). The funniest thing is Oster and its supplier (ereplacementparts) does not offer replacement parts so we have to throw away the base, blender and food processor and search for another totally new set.

Operated fine, but had a defect: it leaked. A lot. If your plan is to make one smoothie and not ever use it again, this will work. If you need an appliance for everyday use, get something else. My return was processed with no issue.

Item stoppped working after 3 weeks

That is 3 weeks of having it and it does not work anymore. Best buy says they cant do nothing cause it is out side the 15 days. INCREDIBLE!!!!
