I had cleaned and prepped the phone in the holder I took of the base (1) layer to stick the protector on the phone. I put down and attached as directed squeezed the air out and lifted the top (2) protective layer. The screen protector never left the (2) layer. 3 tries later and all manner of crud was stuck on the protector and it still would not release from (2). Otter has really gone downhill in quality since they removed screen covers from their cases. Stay away.

I have placed screen protectors on before. But this screen protector was horrible. Taking off the plastic portion to put on the screen should not be difficult to remove, this was like someone had super glued it on.
