The Commuter Otterbox is a nice case . I got it in the teal color There was not a lot of options for the 5S but I really like it. If you want a full coverage case you should go for the Defender. This one does not protect the front screen. I have had two other Commuter cases and when dropped they crack at the bottom but my phone was not harmed.

Bought because of price point. Provides adequate protection.

I am a huge Otter Box fan. As an app tester, I own multiple phones. All of these phones are equipped with Otter Box cases. Without these cases, my phones would have been trashed by now. This particular case was purchase a little over a month ago and the plastic frame broke while opening the flap that covers the Apple Lightning charging port. I understand that this particular case may not be as strong as some of their other cases. The company does offer a 1 year limited warranty so I will be reaching out to them for a replacement.

Love the case it's very durable and love the color

My expectation is that phone cases can take at least one year of regular abuse before they start falling apart. I've been buying Speck since 2009 but they dropped the ball (falling apart much sooner). Otter feels much sturdier. Buttons though are not as easy to push, I have to try harder that what I was used to.

Cover and protects the phone, fits nice in pockets

The belt clip is great. Better than putting the phone in a hip pocket and sitting on it or having it slip out of a shallow pocket. The case material and texture makes it much easier to hold the phone. And, it protects the phone if it gets dropped which unfortunately may happen.

I’m not crazy about the color. It was the only one though and it’s hard to find a case for the iPhone 5/SE. I had a pink case in this exact model and it fell apart after a year. Maybe I’ll have better luck in a different color

great phone case! phone has been dropped a few times and survived a major fall while hiking without so much as a scratch. it's difficult to take on and off, which I have to do to fit the phone into my running armband, but at least it's secure.

My husband needed a case for his phone - but didn’t want a black one, as black isn’t easy to see when sitting on many surfaces. Also, his phones generally take a ‘beating,’ so he needs a tough case. This one is PERFECT!

The selection for a phone cover for a IPHONE 5S was pretty limited. I went to six different stores in search of a cute phone cover. I went back to Best Buy which is where I bought the phone and I found just the right one.

I'm not ready to drop this one to see how it does, but I'm sure it will bounce. The only thing I don't like is that my battery compartment is covered and it now makes it hard to plug it up. It takes two hands and some "fanagling".
