I bike with my ipad all the time and my kid likes to drop it and case is still in good condition and ipad is fine.

Great case. I was shopping for a case for our new iPad air and supplies and brands were limited. Figured I would go with the old faithful Otterbox when it came out since the older models cases were reviewed so highly. No regrets great case and our 2 year old boy drops and bumps it often around the house and it is fully protected. The only flaw is that there are no magnets on the front cover that puts the iPad in sleep mode. The older iPad cases have this but the air case does not. I called Otterbox and asked about it and was told that they rushed the case in production before the holidays and did not have time to design the cover with the magnets. Would be perfect for me if they added the magnets but not a deal breaker.

Keeps iPad protected. Causes the volume buttons to stop working after a while.

this is the second case that i buy based of the fact that they last, still have my first case on the kids iPad.

I was very happy with this product. My son takes his iPad back and forth everyday and it was well protected.

Your iPad is an investment in your arsenal of electronic devices. Sometimes even small bumps occur under the most careful care when you least expect it to happen. Why be sorry you didn't get the "insurance policy" of the Otter Box?

The OtterBox Defender is the best protection you can buy for Apple products. I owned a first generation iPad for many years…always kept in the OtterBox Defender case. I gave it to my wife to surf the web with when I bought the new iPad Air. The older iPad didn't even have a mark on it and looked brand new. It was not even a consideration to buy another iPad without putting it in an OtterBox Defender case. I used the iPad on the job site running live sound and production for the apps that control some of the equipment we use. It takes a beating. Not a problem for the OtterBox. Drops, spills and rough treatment are the norm and it handles it all with ease. Buy one today...

The iPad Air is definitely protected but it really defeats the purpose of buying the Air because the case adds so much size and weight. All cases are over priced. Not Best Buy's fault.

Perfect case for my iPad Air. Fits like a glove, all ports are covered, awesome protection. I feel comfortable letting my six year old grandson use the iPad now!

This was a great buy for the Ipad air. Was tossed between this and another more expensive case. Glad I made this choice. The case is sturdy and well designed. Easy to put on and easy to use. The only down fall is the hard shell that holds the Ipad has no hole for the camera so you have to take it off if you are taking pictures.

I bought an iPad Air when it’s was first released years ago. However, I never bought a case for it. I didn’t really use it a lot so I wasn’t too concerned at the time, but I have kids and I’m quite clumsy myself so I figured I’d better try to find a case before it gets broken. Now that there are so many iPad models released after I purchased mine I was having a hard time finding a case for this gen iPad anywhere, until I stumbling upon this one. It’s was on sale when I bought it, still a little on the pricey side but totally worth it.

Would be nice if there were a couple more angles to prop it up on, but still a good feature

The case itself is a strong exoskeleton for the iPad, the week link is the screen protector, it’s not as nice as a standalone but it does the job

If you need to be protected from everything - this is for you. I am a firefighter and this keeps it safe. it does add a lot of weight which is the tradeoff but no way ANYTHING will be bending while in this case!

Easy to use seems sturdy but will not know until I drop it, which I do not plan to do

The case is very strong and sturdy. The only complaint is that the protective cover that snaps on and off gives it a bigger footprint when attached to the back side when using it. Easy solution is just don't attach it to the backside. Overall, it gets the job done.
