Otterbox cases do a good job of offering full protection to delicate electronics. They are, however, something of a chore to put on and you must be dilligent in cleaning everything before installing because you won't want to remove it later. The rubber parts of the case collect dust easily, but that is a function of allowing grip. While no one will claim these cases are pretty, they are very functional.

The Defender Otterbox has been the most protective case I've used for iPads. This beefy burly thing will double the bulk of your standard iPad Air. But if you use it in a hostile environment like I do, it's about the best thing going. What sets the Defender apart are 1) relative ease of disassembly and 2) the hard plastic faceplate/screen guard. Regarding #2, I've seen cases fail simply because impact or pressure on the screen will shatter it, even with a tempered overlay. Hugely bulky and heavy but if your circumstances call for it, this is the one.

I have used OtterBox for my and my family's phones. These are very reliable. I don't know how many times someone in my family has dropped their phone, and they are still in one piece. Not even a crack. the OtterBox does a great job for my kids' tablets too.

I bought this for my mother-in-law. I've used the same case myself for several years and love it. The built in stand is super convenient and works great. Best protection you can buy with max convenience.

The OtterBox Defender case is exactly what I was looking for. The case is solid construction and will prevent nearly all possibilities of damage to the iPad.

I have had my Otterbox case for nearly one month now. I have yet to drop it so I cannot speak to how my device fared in a fall but I can tell the case is very durable for ultimate protection. My only complaint is that the case is difficult to remove. I have had a difficult time removing the iPad from the case in order to show people how thin it is, consequently I no longer try to remove it.

Bought it for my 7 year old son's new iPad Air. Needed protection to withstand random falls, bumps and bruises. Well-protected and IPad in perfect condition, so far (2 years later). A little pricey, but worth the price!

Love the Otterbox Defender Series for my iPhone 6 and knew I had to get the defender for my iPad as well. I'm not disappointed with my decision to purchase this case because it protects my iPad and it works as a great stand when needed.

Got this case on sale and it is perfect for at home use/protection. Dropped our last iPad and cracked the screen, so we definitely wanted to get something with more protection. Love the stand that comes with it for watching videos.

Plain & simple, if you EVER take your iPad ANYWHERE outside your house you should absolutely invest in an Otterbox case! Tad pricey, but worth every penny in peace of mind that your tablet, phone etc will survive any drops etc.

Otterbox is simply the best case for any tablet of my phone. Only thing that I do not like is the built in screen for the iPad Air. Feels weird.... They just need to remove it from there product. But a must have case for any traveler

I love my Otterbox Defender. I have one for all my devices, and never had problems. It is durable, and the price that I got for it from Best Buy was great. If you have a device that you care very much about this is the case to get.

You can't go wrong with an Otterbox. The materials are great, the stand works nicely at multiple angles, from laying down to sitting at a table. You'll love the protection, comfort, and usage this case offers.

This is the best way to keep your iPad safe and secure. Great case, fits well, and offers the best protection! Makes it a little thicker, but that's an easy tradeoff for not damaging it.

Strong and sturdy protection. Completely encases my iPad air to keep it safe from all angles. The only exposed area is the apple logo on the back. It does add weight, but worth it for the excellent protection.

The best protection you can get for an iPad hands down. Drops, spills, sweaty hands, etc are no match for this case. A little on the pricey side by worth every penny in the long run. Definitely recommend!

I needed something durable to protect my wife's new iPad from our twin two-year olds. Thank God we have it, or the iPad would have been in pieces by now! It is a little bulky but it definitely does it's job!!!

After my second broken screen, I finally got my "fragile" iPad protected... Should have done it sooner. The case has some weight to it; but good trade off for the non-broken screen, since purchase.
