We have OtterBox cases on all of our devices in the house! My son is 8 now but we've used OtterBox since he was about 2 years old. Let's face it, our devices take a beating with children and the OtterBox keeps them safe, clean, and in one peice. My son has dropped his iPad down the stairs from the top step and it was perfectly fine that's why when we bought him a new iPad for Christmas I didn't hesitate to buy another OtterBox. If you're going to spend good money on electronics you need to get a case you can trust. Another thing I'd like to add is my little guy loves how the case has a built in stand so he can have it sit upright while watching YouTube or movies, his friends always comment how much they wish their cases did that.

I love the case. It offers great overall protection. The rubber covering over the charger port can be a bit hard to access. The case is heavy, bulky, and the outer hard shell covering can be problematic to get off. My wife has nerve damage in her hands and is hard for her to remove. A great case for a rough environmental usage and it does double the size and weight of the IPad.it protects.

This otter box case is 360 degrees of protection. Your protected from drops, falls and even spills! The case has a rubber piece that goes around it and there is a screen protector too. All the ports on your iPad are also closed off by the plastic and when your done surfing the web you can pick it up and play games! It’s that easy! The case has a cover piece that protects the screen and clicks on and that piece can hold your iPad right up so you can type or have it in an angle for viewing movies and watching shows, or doing YouTube. It’s like a safe case when you click the cover piece on the iPad. You are then completely protected. It’s good for those people who want a sleek looking case that offers full protection. It’s just so great! I listen to my radios, rock 105.3, and then just pick it up from the hard case that props it up and it so easily comes right off with no clicking and you just play games. It’s as easy as saying hey! Man there’s no better case for those who game!

This case provides excellent protection for my iPad. It’s just like the phone case, so it has the screen protector as well as a stand so that you can prop up your iPad (4 different ways).

I purchased the case at the same time as the 2017 iPad 32gb. I removed the iPad from the box, removed the plastic protection and immediately into the Otterbox Defender case it went. The built in stand works in different angles and directions. Dropped it once, no harm to iPad. Another great Otterbox product. The grip on the case in the hand makes it easy to hold and more durable feel. The stock iPad is very thin and light. This adds a bit of weight and the quality can be felt. Extremely happy.

While this may make the iPad thicker and heavier, that actually works for me. I tend to drop things, a lot, and I wanted something to protect my very pricey purchase. Otterbox has the reputation for unprecedented protection and it was on sale, so perfect. Without the case, the iPad felt thin, fragile, and slippery and I was worried about dropping and shattering it. This gives me something to grab onto now, and I don't feel like I'm going to accidentally twist the device in two. I also like that the outer cover has a kickstand and a clip for the pencil add on, if I ever get one. Plus it has a screen protector built in that does not interfere with the finger print reader or touch capabilities. That's money saved, too. While I normally go with a folio case, sometimes with a keyboard, I'm very glad that I chose this instead. It's great protection and holds the device snugly. 5 stars all the way.

I love this product I have one for my phone and my IPad Gen 6 my kids break their phone all the time me not once with my otter box. I have dropped my phone and iPad omg so many time still intact.I've owned two Otterboxes, one for an iPhone 7 and one for an older iPad and this 5th/6th generation Defender Series case is the best one so far. The iPhone 7 and older iPad Otterbox appeared to have screens that were not that interactive. So far, my son loves this 5th/6th Defender Series case. It's light, the grip feels just great and he's not constantly worrying that the iPad might slip from his hands. The cover/stand gives great protection when he places his iPad in a backpack. My son loves to cook and the stand feature allows him to set himself up with his iPad in the kitchen or on the go. And the Apple logo on the back sets the Defender case apart from other cases of less quality.

This fits the 9.7 inch IPad perfectly. It is easy to install, and provides great protection

I purchased an Otterbox defender for my cell phone many years ago. I accidentally dropped it several times and my child knocked it off the counter/table many more times. It also survived a slam to the concrete when it flew out of my purse pocket. Since then I’ve bought one for all my phone upgrades and my old iPad. I’ve dropped many more of my phones and my child once dropped the iPad down the stairs. Never had any cracks or damage to any of them, unlike many of my family members who buy something cheaper. Yes it’s more expensive and also heavier and bulkier than other cases, but it’s worth it to me to protect our devices.

This is a very sturdy and well-built product. All the layers make the iPad feel really well protected against not only drops but dust and scratches. The case fits very, very snugly so don’t plan on taking it on and off on a regular basis. The built-in screen protector will scratch but does keep actual iPad screen from scratching. Keep a microfiber cloth handy to remove smudges on the screen protector. The screen protector does work well with the apple pencil. My biggest complaint is that the case does tend to muffle the speaker sounds a bit. Adding the Defender case does add weight to the iPad but the protection it affords is well worth it. I only use the lid/stand when traveling as it does add to the bulk. Very functional case and definitely a good buy.

The OtterBox is a great protective cover for the Next Generation iPad. It also has an attachment, if you want , to use to hold the IPad so you can read easier, etc. In addition, there is a plastic cover included that protects your iPad. Great - absolutely great.

My children love their iPads. We have always used a cover. My mom didn't want a cover, she used the pretty book type of cover- big mistake. Her screen shattered, ended up buying a second iPad. This cover is for her. We've used otter boxes for our phones and iPads for years. They can fall out of your bag/hands/truck etc and bounce. No damage or wear yet. I don't recommend proving this but, the case helps big time with spills.

iPads aren’t cheap nor resilient, but the Otterbox adds a level of protection that I haven’t been able to find from another product. Product is a bit bulky but total worth it especially when young kids will be using the device as well!

Got for my mother's new ipad. A little heavy, but protects well. Wish there was a larger opening where she plugs in to charge. Was going to cut out a larger area but mother thought she was getting used to it. In all, great protection but should make more accessible for older people whose fingers are limited in their movements. Mother had chemo and her fingertips are numb.

This is not my first Otter Box and like the rest it doesn't disappoint. Its a very solid product, fits my IPAD like a glove and backed by great customer service. It you want to protect your investment this is the product to buy.

I had a different brand for my mini iPad. This was highly recommended by friends and had great reviews. It is heavier than my older case, so I feel it will protect my new iPad even better.

Yes it does fit the IPad 6th Generation as well. That is the iPad I recently purchased along with this case. The cover case even has section to hold the Apple Pencil along with the iPad unit when it’s fully closed ( with the screen closed in or facing outward). When you place the iPad into the plastic shell and when you snap the cover on, you must place the iPad in or slide it in starting from the bottom up first. There is some sort of hook situation going on there, be careful with that. Great case as always. I love Otterbox a Defender series for anything always keeps items safe and fully protected in great condition.

I’ve always purchased otter boxes for my phones, no matter the brand, and they always leave my devices looking like new even after years. I was so excited to get this to protect my son’s iPad, I know that this will provide the same protection and he’ll have a “like new” iPad several years from now. He’s already dropped it once with this on and it was completely protected. The stand is a nice touch but somewhat bulky.

The hard plastic is great if it’s dropped rubber part is great for added pretection and give great grip for easy handling the stand that comes with it is great for hands free viewing
