I use my Ipad for field work. The Otterbox does a great job protecting my Ipad from accidents and weather.

I am a huge fan of Otterbox products and I own 3 presently and one previously. The Defender series converts the thin, almost Light Sabre like, iPad 3 into the Roadwarrior equivalent of a battle axe. I think it could be hurled at a would-be assailant in a defensive maneuver. I do not condone violence, I am just suggesting the heft of this product is substantial when encased in the defender. I love it and I have one similar for my iphone and iPad mini. The Roadwarrior likes to be matchy matchy.

My 1.5 yr old uses the iPad from time to time. It didn't have a case but when he dropped it from his high chair, we new it was time to protect the expense electronic. We decided to go with the Otterbox due to its durability. We wanted something that protected the iPad from all angels, including the screen. This was the only case that we found which also had a screen cover. Now, when my son drops the iPad it is safe and secure. The only thing I don't like is the other piece...maybe it's because I don't know what it's for or how to use it (see picture below).

I bought this product for my aunt. She really love it. The best protection for ipad mini. Nothing will beat the otterbox.

I purchased this case for my teenage son and I think it saved our iPad mini more than once. It does add a little bulk to the device. But it's convenient how the top cover can act as a stand or snap on the back. I initially thought it was a bit pricey. But it has been a good investment for us. My son is also a fan. I would buy it again.

I'm a freak about keeping my electronics safe. This case completely protects my iPad mini. Love that the screen protector is integrated. Also, comes with a hard snap on cover for travel protection that doubles as a viewing stand. Only drawback is weight. It's adds quite a bit but you can get used to it.

This case is what I wanted to protect my new I pad. The edges are protected even when the cover is off (that is when it seems to be the most likely to be dropped). When the cover is off it is also easy enough to hold and use for young and old. The front plastic protector is clear enough to see through. With the cover off, the facial glass will always be a little vulnerable to be crushed, but unlikely unless stepped on. I am trying to train everyone, when they are not using the I pad to place it on a table or place the cover back on. (We'll see if the rules are followed). I do like the face cover for traveling - placing it in a bag or in the car somewhere and knowing it is still protected.

Very protective case. I would recommend to parents who may let a younger child play with it. Or someone who needs the extra protection. My favorite part is the stand that is included. I can sit my iPad on the stand and type away comfortably. However, this case definitely is bulky and makes the device too heavy to comfortably play games on, read a book, etc.

This case is very sturdy and reliable. My son carries his IPad in his book bag and the previous case purchased, The Survivor, did not meet our needs in that it broke after a month of being purchased. So we purchased the Otter Box Defender Case and we are much happier with the results. Built in screen protector, three layer protection, and stand are all great features of this product. The stand provides extra protection for the device when not being used as a stand. I love it. I have the same case for my phone. The other Otter defender cases that I had purchased in the past have lasted more than two years. This is a great product.

Bought this case for my husband for his iPad mini to use for work and for every day regular use as well and it fits great. The top piece snaps on fairly well and overall shows good quality. He has dropped it a few times and the case has protected the fall all times. Case comes with built in stand which he loves for road trips where he can stand it up and watch movies or play games.

The case provides great protection for our new Ipad Mini. Functional too as it has a built-in multi-position stand and protective cover for the front of the Ipad without having to buy a separate protective skin. The only drawback is the added weight. However, this is minor and I'll take the protection over a lot of the flimsy, light-weight covers on the market.

I have had other Ipad protectors in the past bu the Defender tops them all. The base can be used as a stand which is convenient and easy. The screen protector plastic is durable and clear for unencumbered view. I have dropped the pad once since putting it inside the case and no damage to the screen or corners. First off, this Otterbox case DEFINITELY protects my mini iPad !! I have dropped it already multiple times and also my toddlers have thrown it. Yes, thrown it. lol ... iPad is still in perfect condition because of this case. I like that the pop-off part can be converted into a stand. However, it has to be perfectly placed into the stand, otherwise it keeps sliding off/out. I also like that the actual case that encloses the iPad is anti-slip. It is nice to have the 'grip protection', especially when my toddlers watch movies on it or play games on it. Downside only is the stand has to be perfectly placed on even surface and that the iPad can feel heavy with the entire casing on it, BUT it does PROTECT it from any bumps, falls or throws! Saves me $800 right there! lol

This case took the place of a substandard case as we did not want to pay otter box money the first time. I am glad we did this time. This case is protecting the ipad of my 6 year old. Great fit, perfect shell of confidence around a fragile item that he loves. He is able to take the case through its different configurations without any adult assistance. Great case at a terrific price.

Love it!! No other way to describe how happy I am with this case. It's easy to work with. I love the stand option so it feels like i'm watching my own personal tv and otterbox provides such great protection when i'm clumsy and drop it. Thanks!!

I debated on going with a slim setup, but with two little ones, I didn't want to risk damage. I've been an Otterbox user for a long time. This is one of my favorite models yet. Tight fitting, secure, but it doesnt feel like it adds a ton of bulk. I highly recommend.

This is for the older ipad mini 2 and only designed to fit that model. You get what ya pay for !!! Ultimate protection and a product designed with common sense. This is armor for your expensive device. Although the port covers can be hard to open, protection is the main goal here and it strikes a perfect balance of sleek design , usability and protection.There's a snap cover for the unit that also servers as a stand .Built in screen protector was a nice touch. .

My 8 year old has dropped his iPad mini several times. The case really does a good job of protecting the iPad. The case is easy to use and he uses the stand/tripod feature to watch movies. Worth the money.

I have a iPad mini for my 1 year old to watch movies on when we are out traveling. Otter box is the ONLY case I would trust for something a child is going to touch! The case is still light weight that it doesn't make the iPad mini appear to be much larger. Also love the cover for the screen (even thought there is a clear screen on the case it's self) protects the screen when it's on. Bonus the cover has a stand that props the iPad up for watching so you don't have to hold it or balance the iPad on something.

Would recommend this case every time. I have 4 kids all have iPads with this case and it has saved us many potentially cracked screens. Easy to put on and clean.
