Best out there but not invincible

However, it is not 100% damage proof. Sometimes it is easy to forget that. However, one of my iPad screens shattered in the case simply from dropping the iPad 5 feet from the ground. Not very happy with that.

We put our products through an extensive amount of testing, but unfortunately, the cases are not infallible and we cannot guarantee that all risk is eliminated when you use them. Child Proofing an iPad mini

After purchasing defenders for all my previous iPhones, I added these to their iPads. So far, after several months, they've been dropped multiple times but the iPads are still going with no cracked screens. I use these myself as I tend to be rough on portable devices, but I definitely recommend them for any devices that may be in the reach of children.

Great protection for your device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for the ultimate protection for my iPad Mini which I use during my field inspections and the Otterbox Defender was what they suggested. It requires that I use the on-screen keyboard (not my favorite) but I found I can still use my bluetooth keyboard (duh) when I need to. The Otterbox makes the iPad nearly bullet-proof for most situations. I can't say if it's water-proof and don't really want to find out but it's easy to grip and hang onto. Good product!
