We're very sorry that you had such difficulty with the Touch ID function of your device while using the OtterBox Defender. We actually did extensive testing for this feature when the iPhone 5s was released and even revamped the case to make certain that it wouldn't interfere with the technology. It's unclear if somehow you received the original case, or if perhaps you upgraded from an iPhone 5 to a 5s but still used the original case, but bottom line is that we can definitely help get you into an OtterBox that will both protect and allow you to enjoy all the great features of your iPhone. I decided to get one, but at a lower price than retail. My only con to this case is that you can't pull up the screen from the bottom because the case is too thicke and you can't use the touch screen feature.

It keeps my phones very protected from the elements and the rough time it goes through being owned by me. I can say this case has saved me from replacing the phone many times. I leave 4 out of 5 bc everything has room for improvement.
