I have used Otterbox cases for years and find they offer good protection and good value. The soft touch rubber really helps keep the phone secure in your hand. All of the buttons on the case are responsive. My only major gripe is with the built in screen protector. It has an uncomfortable tactile feel and it is stiff enough that it frequently does not respond to my button pushes the first time. I usually have to make a concerted effort to push forcefully to get a response. This quickly becomes annoying, particularly if you enter your phone's pin number frequently during a day's use. I have used a combination of a glass screen protector and a separate case in the past and prefer that setup. The ports are well protected with the rubber port covers and the sound is much better than my last case, when callers frequently complained my voice was muddled by the case's microphone covering.

Just got this so can't comment on durability. But it fits the phone correctly, all buttons and ports are functional, and the touch screen works reasonably well (not as responsive as with a screen protector that adheres to the screen). In-package instructions for opening the case weren't very helpful, had to go to Best Buy to learn the trick for removing the rubber layer (open one of the ports and pull on the tab.)

This is the perfect case for my daughter that just turned 13 for her 1st phone. Otter cases are the best protective cases. We had a great experience of an Otter case as it saved my daughters iPod as it got accidently run over with the car. I couldn't believe it. So we are a fan!

I recently went through security at the Atlanta airport and was using my iPhone to scan my boarding pass. I dropped my phone on the floor from the TSA scanner. I picked up my phone and to my surprise my screen was not cracked due to having the Outterbox Defender phone case.

Otter Box is simply the best at protecting your phone. That said, it seems that the iPhones fingerprint ID function doesn't work as well through the OB's plastic screen. Touch functions are fine on the screen itself but the home button only IDs my fingerprint 30% of the time.

When I purchased my first iPhone I was told by a friend not to leave the store without an otterbox case on my phone. I took her at her word and have had one ever since. Through the drops and bounces across the asphalt parking lot, I've never had damage to my phone. Love it!

The case does protect the phone however it seems to easily get dirty. I would still recommend though.

Bought for my son to protect his phone He's not the most careful when it comes to putting it down in a safe place. I might sometimes find in on the floor by his bed, under a towel, in his backpack which he just dropped on the floor. The case is definitely doing its job!

Let me start by saying that I have not been a fan of the otterbox cases in the past because of the added bulk they added to the phones slim profile. The new cases prove all the protection with a slimmer sleaker case. For my husband who drops the phone a lot it's perfect!

Helps protect the phone well for those roughhouse guys who work outside, and comes with a belt clip

The defender series for the iPhones have been pretty pricey but this is worth the money. Secures the phone with a joined faceplate and even cover to the home button so dirt doesn't get under and full water tight seal ( haven't tested underwater though ). Very pleased.

I have used Otter Box cases to protect my cellular investment for many years and when i upgraded to the 6s i naturally choose Otter Box again. I really like this one because it is not too bulky or heavy but provides the protection that i require

I have used the otterbox defender case through iPhones 4 and 5, so I got one for 6. The main reason is that I ride a bike in the city, and want to be able to access the phone from my waist while riding with a bluetooth headset. I have dropped the case from my hip while riding (my fault not the case's), and recently landed on the case hard enough to leave an imprint on my body. The phone always survives and is fully functioning.

I have just recently switched from blackberry to iPhone 6. At first I was so concerned that my iPhone would be easily slipped out of my hand and dropped broken instantly. Then I bought this Otter box case. It is so sturdy that I feel my iPhone has good protection now.

The Otter Box Defender is the best phone case for those who have a tendency to mishandle their phone from time to time. i have dropped my phone several times and it just bounces off the floor and never misses a beat. This is a must for protection against dropping.

This is the best product of its kind on the market! I have had two other versions for different types of phones and they too were superb for protection from bounced, drops, moisture and food spills!!! I would buy another one for my next phone in a heartbeat!

I have used OtterBox's on several phones now and they are awesome at protecting the phone from drops. I use a Zagg protective screen with the OtterBox to give all-around protection that can't be beat. If you drop things a lot, then OtterBox is what you need.

I had an Otterbox Defender case for my iPhone 5s & it kept my phone 100% protected even when I was at work (I'm a butcher). So, when we upgraded our phones, there was no question about whether or not I was going to get another Otterbox Defender series case.

The case is good for the function intended, i.e. protecting the iPhone in it. Would've given this a five star, but deducting one star for not being able to use aftermarket charging cables while the phone is in the case. Cannot use Amazon Basics which can be used just fine with the Otterbox 6 Plus Symmetry series case. Also, the screen protector does not fit flush with the iPhone. Not too bad, but enough to notice.

This is my third otter box in 8 years. The best protection based case you can buy. I've used the competition waterproof case and like only the waterproof quality better; this case is not waterproof. Would love to see otter box make a defender waterproof case.
