The LifeProof case was waterproof but not sturdy enough therefore when I dropped phone it shattered. The Otterbox has a sturdy hard plastic frame to protect your phone with a softer outer covering. I also like the color selection that was available. The openings for the USB Cable and the microphone are perfect for ease of connection.

The new features are very impressive and the large screen is much easier to read than the older model. Suri has already helped me find my way to an important event, and the maps have been very helpful also. In my estimation, the iPhone is still the gold standard for ease of use and available applications. I am very happy with my purchase.
