We're sorry to see that the screen protector on this Defender series was giving you trouble, and that you felt your best option would be to remove it. We typically don't recommend making modifications to the case, since it can jeopardize that overall protective abilities of the unit. For future reference, please note that we are always happy to replace a case under our warranty for any damage or defect, such as the screen protector sitting a little higher than normal. Usually, altering the case at all can result in voiding the warranty, but we would still like to see you use the Defender as originally intended, so please feel free to call our friendly Otters at 1-855-688-7269, and they'll gladly see what they can do!
