My son is 19 and is attached to his phone. Sounds normal, except he watches videos instead of calling or doing social media. Having the OtterBox to protect his phone was a must! He drops it and since it is in the case, I won't use a new phone until it is ssfely secured in its Otter Box case.

I had an iPhone 5 in a Lifeproof case and the first time it was dropped the screen shattered. After taking it to a Mac Genius at the Apple Store, they told me to go get an Otterbox. They said they often saw shattered phones that had been in Lifeproof cases but Otterbox was reliable. Man were they right! I have a 17 month old who loves to sneak away my phone. It has been dropped, stepped on and kicked and is still in perfect condition safely nestled in a cute pink camo Otterbox Case, which I found cheaper at Best Buy Online (and had delivered to the store for same day pick-up) than anywhere else! I love my Otterbox and HIGHLY recommend it to anyone I know, especially friends with Lifeproof cases.

I have used otter box cases on all my phones this fits great. When I bought my first iPhone the sales guy took his phone and through it across the floor and it did not break. I had one on when I dropped it from the deck of my truck and no issues. Will use them on all phones from now on.

I highly recommend the purchase of the OtterBox Defender Series. I know from unfortunate experience that the iPhone's screen can and will shatter when the phone is dropped without a protective case. I dropped the phone a couple times since I got the OtterBox Defender and the phone is just fine.

This case has been good at protecting my wife's phone and she likes that the case is pink.

I work in law enforcement and I needed a reliable case that can hold up to daily abuse. I had a lifeproof case and it broke after 6 months and that was $90.00 down the drain! This case has great protect from shocks and impact. The volume and music you can hear great through the case.

Easy to put onto phone, and does a great job of protection. Switched from an Otterbox Defender on my Galaxy to a Defender on my iPhone 5s, and it's WAY better. The Galaxy was so fragile, even the otterbox couldn't protect it.....not the case with the iPhone. Otterbox is perfect on it.

off ears good protection against life's boo boos. The belt clip makes for convenient hands fee carrying. The rubber exterior offer good grip even with wet hands

Bought this as a gift for my wife for Christmas. I found this case on the shelf on sale so I grabbed it. Otter box cases are always solid and will hold up to a lot of wear and tear. Her last one made it 2 years so it was getting dirty and cut up. This one looks good so far!

You have to take it off and clean / wash it. The bottom where the microphone is can get very dirty if you use it for work. Other than that, it has been dropped, kicked, and used A LOT! It still looks new, and it has not stretched out like the older models of the Otterbox.

Having been through Lifeproof and Otterbox before, my teenage daughter picked the Otterbox for her new iphone5s. She likes that it is lightweight yet protects the phone from drops (happens quite a bit). She also liked the colors it came in. A pretty good buy if you get it on sale!

I bought this at bestbuy and did a price match from amazon, i love the defender series otter box but i tend to destroy them within a few months. I was able to buy this otter box for $25 from bestbuy through amazon price match, it was a great deal and another great buy!

Maximum protection for any IPhone, especially a 12 year old (for a LE (aka 5S) or a 60+ year old who fumbles his phone...dropped my own 5S many many times traveling coast to coast.. There is NO better protective case.than the Otter Box Defender

Bought it for my 15 year old daughter's iphone 5 she loves it. It really does it's job. She has dropped her phone several times and the screen has not cracked. She had dropped it once before and I had to get the screen replaced. Getting this case has been the best investment.

The life proof case is a very good case, my first one lasted about a year and my phone inside is still in pristine condition and has survived many falls. The otter boxes are about the same with the exception of being able to withstand water.

Have been with Otterbox for awhile now. never have had any issues with protection. Dropped phone many times and no damage. Excellent warranty as I have broke numerous belt clips and they send me a new one after following there damage claims.

I never buy a phone without putting an Otterbox on it. I have never had an issue with a screen cracking and it is pretty well protected from moisture. I have had a little problem with the rubberized portion of the case stretching, but other than that it was fine.

This is the third or fourth Otter box I have had. All with different phones. All worked great to protect the phone from various mistakes that occur in it's life with me. I think they are about the best protection for Iphones available. All family phones have them.
