I am sure it would have protected my phone but it was not slim. I like to stick the phone in my back pocket and this was just not a good choice for that.

Protects my IPhone

Also, it may just be us, but the response on the screen is latent in some circumstances where the clear plastic front touches the screen itself. This is not a 'dealbreaker' but can be annoying.

But, I was pleasantly surprised that I don't need another case this Otter is so good!! Very tough and slips in my purse easily.

The woman at Best Buy told me next time, instead of throwing it away out of frustration, take a picture of it and send it to OtterBox and they will take care of it. Too bad they just don't sell the holster separate...
