I purchased my iPhone 5S a couple of years ago and have no intention of replacing it until it needs to be replaced. I spent a good amount of money on LIFEPROOF case and was disappointed in it. Had a hard time getting the phone of off my belt when I used the clip. Actually ended up putting the phone (in the holder) in my pants pocket. The clip broke, and used just the case for almost a year or a little more. Decided it was time to purchase another case and had heard positive comments about the Otterbox. Definitely in the month or so that I have had this case, I like this a lot better. I wear the phone on my belt and less in my pocket these days. You can carry the phone facing outwards (nice when I do lay it on the desk, I can see who is calling me) and also have it so the back faces outward (which is nice when I am speaking to a group of students and do not want them to see the face of the phone when a text, tweet, or phone call comes in).

It doesn't get better than Otterbox. I purchased one for my mother-in-law to help her overcome her fear of dropping her phone, and she feels so much more confident in handling it now. I've had my own "Defender" series for my four-year-old smartphone and for two years on my wife's iPad.

First one lasted 2 years of rough handling. A great product for protecting the iPhone. Wouldn't go with anything cheaper !

Over all great case Got the iPhone 5s for my daughters 1st phone and this case which is great for protecting the phone and I only came out of pocket $50 for both not including activation fee on the phone. Worked out perfect

my son has this case. no problems so far. He is not happy about the extra shield covering, but makes me happier knowing better protections.

The new Defender case for my iphone performs exactly as advertised! Unfortunately I dropped my phone twice. The good news is that there was absolutely no damage to the device! I couldn't ask for more. Surprisingly, I like the belt clip that came with the case. I had always carried the phone in my pocket before I bought the new case.

This case is like the iron man suit of phone cases. It’s a bit hard to get the case on the phone. We had to look it up on YouTube but it does encase the phone completely and protects it from drops.

I have bought an otterbox in the past and this is my second one. My first one was torn so I had to buy a new one and bought the same one.

the otter has always been our family go to for optimal protection!! also love the price match policy offered by best buy!

This is my second OtterBox and I love that it protects my IPhone 6. I have dropped my phone on occasion and never fear it getting broken.

This case is fantastic at protecting my phone. I am a busy mom who occasionally lets my under 5-ers play the phone. Now I can relax When I hand it to them. I will say the plastic cover over the phone can be tricky to keep clean.

We have bought several Otterbox cases. They always protect our phones. It's great for my kids that they keep coming out with new colors.

Great deal--very sturdy; love the coastal colors and it features the opening so you can use the touch pad technology. It was on sale for $30; usually $50. I highly recommend for high end protection of your IPhone!

This tough case is perfect for rough treatment. Can carry my phone and not worry about damaging it while being tossed around in my purse.

I bought this for my daughter because she is always dropping her phone. Believe me she does put this to the test and it does protect it.

This case has a solid case that surrounds the phone with screen protector built right in and a soft rubber outer layer for a comfortable grip.

I can confirm that even after dropping my phone in this case on cement, nothing broke or cracked from a 5 foot, solid drop. great product.

This otterbox is the best case that you can get for your I phone ,I have dropped my phone in numerous ocassions and never had a problem.

So far this case is comfortable to hold and easy to keep clean. It is not bulky and looks great
