a little heavy, but a great protector for my new phone

I had a previous version of the Otterbox and it served well for almost 2 yr, but then began to fall apart. This version is much better in that it seems to fit better and more securely closes the ports when not in use. The caveat is that it is awkward to release the phone from the belt clip; it requires both hands which is annoying.

These the second time buying this product and will purchase again.

Great cases I give to all my workers in the field to protect their iphones. They always seem to break the clips but Otterbox is good about warranty replacements.

I got this case for my 14 year old son's iPhone 5s. I have one for myself and have always loved the durability of it. I feel safe that his phone will be protected if he was to drop it, since I have dropped mine several times and it's been fine.

Did not want a screen cover because of prior bad experiences with Nintendo handhelds, but this is pretty responsive.

Took a while, but this case is worth it. It is a lot more bulky than other cases, but it is very rugged and therefore it seems to protect the phone from our young children and their antics.

These might be a little thicker than LifeProof cases, but at least it will last longer. When shelling out good money for a case, you want it to last, and OtterBox will last way longer than those expensive LifeProof cases.

We have otter box defenders for all our Iphones in the family. They are rugged and Otterbox stands behind their products so when the clips break, and they do because of the design, you can get another with little hassle. I would recommend.

This is the best protection you can add to the phone purchase. It offers the very best protection against breakage from a drop, even on a very hard surface. Pays for itself knowing the first drop you didn't break the glass.

This case is ok for the iPhone 5S if you use the finger print sensor. I prefer the defender for the iPhone 5 because I don't use the sensor. My iPhone can never unlock to my finger prints. The defender is a must have case if you have children.

The case is very good, I have dropped it several times and have had no damage to the phone. The clip that holds the phone tends to break.

I bought this cas for my son. Normally he takes the case off the phone because they are too bulky or he doesn't like the way the feel. This case has been on since we got it, with no coming off in sight! He loves it!!

Without a doubt, Otterbox Defender case is the only case I have had for my IPhone. It has survived numerous drops and plenty of spills, however, the phone is in near mint condition. Only thing that breaks with the unit is the belt clip.

I work in construction and protecting my phone is a must. Otterbox makes a great case and keeps my cell protected. Only thing I can say somewhat negative about is the silence switch cover is sometimes a pain getting open.

Haven't had it for very long, but so far this case provides good protection for the iPhone SE. It is a bit bulkier than other cases I have had but seems to offer more protection and has held up better.
