If you are someone who drops or damages your phone, you may consider this case. It is very protective against drops etc. On the flip-side, the protective screen makes the phone terrible to navigate with your fingers and the microphone for hearing and speaking are impaired considerably. I would not recommend this case even though it protects it, it makes your phone difficult and frustrating to use!!

The major thing I don't like is the spaces at the top and bottom of the case that still allow dirt to get behind the screen protector. On the s6 case the main problem was at the home button but now it seems like the upper area has been widend swells as the bottom so when the case is in your pocket and subject to debris there is a more likely probability that dirt will get behind the screen protector.

offers better protection than the commuter series case, but it is too bulky and won't fit in pockets easily. The attached screen also seems cheap and does not sit flush to the phone which would probably lead to dirt under the screen. i ended up returning this case.

My old case was an Otter box commuter. I wanted a case with protection but more color options, so I chose the defender. It does a great job of protecting the phone but the touch screen is not as responsive as I would have liked.

This case is as buff and protective as any other defender case, but my wife hates it because the plastic screen protector that's built in kills her screen sensitivity in a way that it never did with her old Note 4. Very frustrating.

The case is sturdy and does a good job protecting the phone from drops. However, the screen cover and edge of case makes it hard to access thepull down menu screen. The touch feel is diminished by the cover.

I got this case for my new phone purchase as I had used a Defender series case for my previous phone and loved it. Unfortunately the quality of this particular case seems to have diminished recently. After only light use over the course of two days, I already had annoying pieces of dirt/debris building up between the built-in screen protector and my phone's screen. More problematic was the fact that accessing the swipe-down menu on my phone was extremely difficult. The design of this case covers up too much of the top portion of the screen, good luck trying to access your notifications. I returned this case and got an Otterbox Symmetry Case. It doesn't offer as much protection but I can view my notifications easily now.

This was my first purchase of an otterbox case after hearing nothing but praise about them by others. The case offers good drop protection and fits perfectly everywhere except for the built in screen protector. A sizable gap between the protector and phone screen results in low touch sensitivity. With the edges of the screen especially difficult access (i.e. notification pull down). Worst of all the the gap and opening at the home button allows dirt/grit to get in between the case screen. My wife got the same case in a different color than me and had the same issue. Which means it's even a very poor design or (if they were both defective) very poor quality control.

I love the OtterBox brand. They make great products but not for the Galaxy S7. I have purchased and returned multiple of the same item only to be further disappointed. Although the S7 is not the edge model, the edge of the glass is beveled. This causes the plastic screen protector of the OtterBox to bow up over the touch screen. This makes the touch sensitivity less accurate, since you have push harder on the screen for the phone to register. There really should be a redesign, fixing this problem.

This Otterbox Defender provided great protection, but was too bulky. Went with the Otterbox Commuter. Otterbox provides great protection.

One or more of the corners often appears as though it's not fastened properly. Every time this happens I readjust the case, but the new adjustment doesn't last longer, I'll just live with it, I wasn't crazy aboutnthe phone before I bought the case and now I have 2 things not to be crazy about. I've learned that it doesn't pay to complain because when I do, I always get blamed for doing something wrong.

Ive had this case before for my galaxy s4 and loved it. But how they designed the case for the s7 is not great. I have bigger hands than most chicks, but even with my long fingers the case adds enough width that i cannot use my phobe with 1 hand. The top drop down screen does not want to register a touch with this case on. Returning it and getting the commuter series instead. Ive actually had no case on my phone for the past month.... id rather take the chance of breaking my phone than use this case!

This case is extremely hard to put onto my belt. Whenever I am sitting down or bent (as in reading), I can feel the bulkiness of this case in my body. Moreover, it's hard to remove the case from the belt. Perhaps it's because the phone for which the case is designed is larger than my old phone, but I think I could have selected a better phone case.

Returned item because the touchscreen protection was too good. My guess is that the clear screen is too thick and doesn't always handle touch well. Can be a bit frustrating when answering a call or trying to open an app.

Although it's an Otter Box and they are, by definition, bulky and not attractive, this one seemed more awkward than usual. It was also hard to charge the phone while it was in this case, as the piece that covers the charging port is not very flexible. Several times, I thought the phone was charging only to find the plastic part had pushed out the charger. I ultimately returned the case.

Works good if you drop it dust intrusion is horrible

We have always purchased the Defenders for our phones and were upset to learn that for this series they have omitted the screen protector and we now have to buy a separate product. I don't know if it will still protect the screen without that or if the screen protector will protect the phone without the otterbox.

I used a Platinum S5 case and holster with my previous phone. Seems that a S7 version of this Platinum item is not available. Picked this case as a substitute but it is too bulky and the holster is meant to be used with the phone in a horizontal position and I prefer a vertical position. May return this case, still searching for a better option.

Used to be a good product. The cover doesn't last. The material becomes soft and stretches causing an improper fit in the corners.

The rubber on this device is already beginning to fray, so it will look bad in no time at all. Also, although I know no case is perfect, my camera was broken because I had the phone in my pocket with my keys. I'm more than a little disappointed that my new phone no longer has an operating camera and this case was not cheap.
