When I got my new Galaxy 8, I knew this was the case for me. There's nothing to protect the face, but the case does a good job of protecting the back. You can use the wireless charger with the phone lying flat. You would have to take it out to charge standing up.

I stepped off my trailer, height of less than 2 feet, the phone popped out of the defender hip holder and the fall shattered my invisiglass. I now have no faith in the ability of this holster to hold the phone securely. If I'm going to have to babysit my phone, why'd I spend so much money to protect it?
