You can't go wrong with an Otterbox. I chose the defender for the extra protection because of work. I used an Otterbox defender before and it protected my phone every time I dropped it, which was a lot. Definitely worth the money.

I hate that I waited so long to protect my phone! This case is very practical and not super heavy or complicated like others I have dealt with. The design is not to feminine or too masculine. Very Light weight!! Truly satisfied!

For our work phones, Otter Boxes are issued; my experience with them goes back many years to when we used them on another job for PDAs used for data collection.. It was a no-brainer to pick up an Otter Box case for my new S8 phone for the protection it provides. More importantly, as the phone is somewhat narrow for my hands and my hold on the phone was never reassuring due to its being "sliippery" the case provides a bit more width to the phone and a non-slip grip. Forget the others, this is the case you want.

Recently bought S8 and needed a case asap. Didn't read any reviews on this item but purchased anyways because of it sturdy look. I wasn't disappointed, it is definitely sturdy, has a good feel and keeps my phone protected.

I bought this case with my new galaxy s8. It is a great case and protects my phone well but was disappointed that otter box did away with the included screen protector. I did buy the alpha glass separately and is working great but it should have been included.

The Defender is great at protecting your phone. The front plastic covering does get scratch marks over time. The cover for the charging area put pressure on the charging cord. I believe if one isn't very careful the phones interior connection could be damaged.

Great phone protection. Only issue is that it is so tight and bulky that the heat from the phone sometimes causes slight condensation at the port site. So when you try to charge it it will say the port is wet. But if you use a cordless charger it works fine.

The slightly raised edge at the top and the bottom is what I wanted to give extra protection for the screen. The cushioning looks more substantial than the phone case I had for my last phone, yet it is still not too bulky. The non-slip surface of the case is a trade off between not having your phone fly off the dashboard when you are driving (good!) and having friction when you slide the phone into your back pocket (not so good). On the bright side the phone is less likely to slip out of your pocket accidentally.

At first I thought it would be too bulky, but I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, and I have to say it's not bad, I love to know that my phone is protected in case of drops, and it fits comfortably in my pocket.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is a nice update to the previous versions. It is lightweight and attractive. The rounded edges are a nice edition if you like shortcuts. Bixby can be very helpful in getting you information quickly.

Good quality, nice grip to it. Different colors available and it fits nicely in my front pocket. Also comes with a waist clip backing to attach phone to.then you clip it on your belt. I use it for work. Great product.

We have only had the case for a couple of weeks. But I like the feel and I think the protection will be good. I haven't dropped my phone yet - it will come. But this case is solid. And if you are using the second piece, I am sure the protection will be good. The color is good. Was looking for a pink so ordered another on line for the color I wanted. I like the charging port that is covered for water drops. And it does charge with the case on with the wireless charger. I would recommend.

I love this and all other otterbox products I have purchased. My phone has been dropped several times due to small children and has yet to be broken-knock on wood. Easy to put on and take off if needed to be cleansed.

Love my phone case. Fits my phone snug and isn't heavy or bulky. It will protect my phone very well in case I would drop it.

Best case they had from the in store selection. Would have preferred a case with a built in screen protector, but there was not one available in store. Even without this feature, this case provides good protection.

The quality of this product is great. It fits the shape of the phone perfect. It has also kept my phone protected so far.

Case is solid & sturdy, but not bulky. Provides good protection. Clip works great. Easy on/easy off & holds phone securely.

We gave a Galaxy S8 to our son for Christmas and purchased the Otterbox Defender case for it. We use the same cases on our own phones and have had good luck with them, so did the same for the gift phone. Read the description carefully, this case does NOT include any type of screen protection. We have found that it works well with our screen protectors (not thick glass ones). I'm not hard on my phone, but I do bump it around from time to time and have had no issues with the Otterbox case. It is decent looking (mine is black, my wife's is purple, it slides in and out of my pocket easily while still adding security to the grip. (The S8, while good looking, is almost slippery without a case.) I would (and did) buy again.

I have not dropped it yet (and hope that I don't anytime soon!) but it seems to work well with my S8. I had a Defender on my previous phone, which was dropped many times, and the case protected the phone. :)

This is a nice case to protect the cell phone. Easy to put on and take off. Not at all bulky. Nice choice of colors.
