I have dropped the phone several times and let me tell you...this phone is well protected. The Otterbox is hard plastic with a silicone cover. The hard part is raised slightly on all sides. This design keeps the screen protector scratch free and prevents cracking. The silicone cushions the fall. The only downside might be that the case may be a little hard to remove but in reality that's what makes it such a good case. You wont lose the phone while it is in it.

And the attached screen protector is terrible gets dirt behind it , there's a gap between the screen and the protector that make it really annoying when typing. And last the price way over priced for what it is

I didn't want to pay a lot but in the end my phone was easily damaged. Although this was a pricey purchase I had to come to terms that I was protecting my investment. Much better than paying hundreds of dollars for new phone!
