I have used Otterbox since having the iPhone 4S, and when I needed to get another case for another iPhone (8 model), I went with the Defender Series Pro. I can honestly say, this Defender case has been a different experience from the 4S model that showcased improvement. For the 4S Defender case, the main issue was the plastic around the case, as it would wear out over time. My phone was protected, but I would have to replace the case a few times over the years. For this case for the iPhone 8, the plastic has been very durable and strong! It has been over a year, and it is still feeling well around the case. Another thing about this Pro case is the width - I enjoy the fact that it is slimmer, while still being protective. I have dropped the phone many times, but has still protected the phone well. I will say, be sure to clean the case and the screen protector - I noticed that over time the lack of cleaning on the screen protector caused issues with Touch ID, as it was not fully feeling the touch of a finger. After cleaning, Touch ID works smoothly. After having this for over a year, I have been very pleased with this case. It has my recommendation if you have the iPhone 8 (or SE) and want to protect your phone.

This case so far has been good. Its super sturdy & coverage is EXCELLENT! You insert your phone in the case, lock it, and then place the rugged case on top. So easy to place on the phone. It also has the hard type plastic to cover your screen which i love because your actual phone wont get scratched nor dirty. It protects completely. Plus it doesn't cover the camera at all. The buttons on the side work as if you didn't have the case. So overall I highly recommend it. Price I think can be a little less but if it continues to do its job and last its worth it.

My third one as I have upgraded iPhones. Well made but tight fitting so it takes a bit of finger strength to initially undo the packaged case and then put it on the phone. The texture of the sides makes for secure holding. No issues with using the touch screen or the fingerprint sensor. I chose protection over appearance but I only get a glimpse of the red around the camera. The belt clip is very secure but it is difficult to remove the phone without using two hands. I will use it only when needed.

Case is constructed well. Provides a good grip surface. Reasonable cost and good protection for phone. I recommend it.

We have purchased the Otter Box in the past for my husband. He works on concrete so you know the damage it can cause. He has dropped it multiple times and this case has protected his iPhone.

Fits my SE2020 perfectly. Comes with built in screen protection. I love the feel, not slippery.

One of the best cases ever protects your phone 100% all day all night

The Defender Series has it’s own screen protector, but I purchased a screen protector and applied it to the phone before realizing this. With a screen protector applied, I found the home button did not respond well but the screen itself did respond to touch. The rubber section, of the case, that frames the face of the phone caused the screen protector not to seal on the edges. There was very little instruction for this case. The case is packaged pre assembled and requires disassembly. The polycarbonate shell, one of the parts that you take apart, has an inner retainer for the phone. I had concerns I might snap one of those retention clips. I finally found out there are arrows on the back of that section of the shell that indicate where the clips are located. This case is built like a tank and I have every confidence it will protect your phone, but at the price of adding considerable bulk. This is the case I wanted, but settled on a case, same brand, that was compatible with the screen protector. The Defender Series also comes with a holster to attach to your belt.

When you absolutely need the best protection for your phone, OtterBox delivers. Protects phone from all directions. Only down side is that it adds bulk...thats the price for making your phone as close to break-proof as possible. OtterBox offers the best protection that I have found if you're clumsy, abuse your phone or if you live/work in harsh environment.

Took back a “slippery silicone” and bought the defender. Very happy with this one. A little pricey but due to a sale, brought it down to within $5 of slippery silicone. The defender offers a grippy surface and outstanding device protection and it comes with its own holster! Jury is still out on the holster longevity. It’s hard plastic with 1 center clip for phone retention. Time will tell....

This is a well made phone case that provides superior protection for your phone without being bulky or cumbersome.

Perfect solution to protect my iPhone SE. Easy to grip (not slippery) and not too bulky. I previously used a similar OtterBox on my old iPod Touch and was totally satisfied. Used it on a 500 mile hike and the weather threw everything at it and no problems. That is why I purchased an OtterBox for my iPhone. If you want cute maybe not the product for you. If you want protection - this is the product for you.

I love the durability and protection that the OtterBox provides for my iPhone. I'm no longer nervous about the slightest "Oopsie" that happens with my phone or even with major incidents with my phone like I was before I purchased the OtterBox Defender Pro Hard Shell Case. I have had many other brands and types of cases for my phones but this is my 2nd OtterBox Defender Series Hard Shell Case and nothing else can compare to the great protection and durability that the OtterBox Defender case provides for my phone.

I no longer have to worry about dropping my phone because I can get a good grip with this case. If I do drop my phone, I think it will be well protected. The only thing that's kind of a pain is the ringer on/off button is harder to get to than with other cases because it's covered. You have to pull up the cover over the ringer button first. Not a big deal, but I use that button often.

Excellent phone case, I dropped my phone countless times and never once did I worry if the screen cracked. Very good quality. The only downside is it’s a bit pricey but you definitely get what you pay for.

This case is typical Otterbox high quality. Fits the SE 2020 perfectly once you figure out how to open it up. I've had several Otterbox products over the years but I'd forgotten how this type comes apart. The "instructions" included in the box were of little help but a YouTube search produced a video that showed me what I needed to do and all turned out well.

This new Otter case is perfect! It is heavy duty but still small enough to put in the back pocket of my jeans.

Excellent protection for the new IPhone SE (2nd gen). There isn’t much out there yet for this new device so I splurged and bought the otter box. It is rubberized so it allows for a better grip when handling. It was fairly easy to snap together. I normally use more affordable Survivor cases from griffintecnology.com but nothing strong like the otter is available there yet.
