It is a nice case, however, at roughly 6 months the popsocket fell off for no apparent reason.

It looked very cheap for what it is. The pop socket was very handy

Works well, kinda bulky. Best Buy shipped fast and that is why I’m giving more stars.

It’s ok, the pop socket broke within 6 months of using and I had a hard time returning.

I like PopSockets. I travel for work and being able to set my phone on a tray table and watch a movie is pretty cool. But to be honest, I have gone through more than a few PopSockets as they tend to stick out too far and catch on your jeans and get pulled off (the pop sockets, not my jeans). The Otterbox case solves for this, by integrating the PopSocket into the case design. Like all Otterbox cases, this is well made and I love that it fully covers all sides of the phone. The PopSocket attachment still sticks out but for comparison - a standard PopSocket sticks out about 4 stacked quarters high, the built-in PopSocket about 1 quarter - which is more than reasonable. I love that you can swap out the PopSockets for a different style at any time (not sure of the price for a new individual socket). The only negative (minus one star) is the side of the Otterbox is not as grippy as I would like. After using this for a few days though I can forgive that as I now default to using the PopSocket. I do now wish I had an iPhone XS Max as this is a great slim case which would be perfect for a large phone - who would have thought a case would make you want to get a bigger phone?

Thought I would be able to switch out tops. You can but most designs are girly.

Before getting my hands on the OtterBox - + Pop Symmetry Series Case I always saw friends and other people around me with the “pop socket” cases. I always wondered what the hype was all about. Well, when I received the OtterBox - + Pop Symmetry Series Case I soon realized how handy the pop socket can be. It makes holding your phone somewhat easier and it pops back in to make the case flat for storage in your pocket or in your backpack. One thing that worries me about the case is if there would be any interference with wireless charging. I immediately tried it and was pleased to see that there were no issues with wireless charging (I use a Belkin wireless charger). Something else that I like about the case is that you can customize the pop socket to your liking (sold separately). These things are everywhere, so purchase what you like, twist, and install. It’s very simple to change between pop sockets. OtterBox is a reputable company. I have used their products for a long time. I am confident that it will holdup and protect my phone. But with confidence.

Otterbox has taken their great Symmetry case and added a PopSocket built right into the case and they hit a home run. I go through lots of phone cases trying to find the perfect solution for my iPhone Xs and this case is just that. There are a few things I look for: 1. Must feel great in my hand and not slippery 2. Lightweight 3. Full phone protection 4. Easily mounted in my car This case has it all plus the added bonus of the PopSocket. I don't really use that to hold my phone, but love it as a stand for traveling and at my desk. I purchased a mount for my car and the Pop slides right into that giving me a great view of Waze when driving. This case definitely fits all of my needs and checks all the boxes for form and function!

This case is great. its the best of both in many ways. You get the stellar protection from the Otterbox and you get to use a Popsocket. It looks totally natural and you can tell its made this way instead of looking like you just stuck an extra to the case. Everything fits as it should and its not heavy. I love the way you can change the Popsocket design also. its nice to have some customization. One issue im having is it not working on the two wireless chargers we have in the house. No big deal but it says it works with wireless charger but most be the mat type only. Another bonus is the case can stay on while in the cradle in the car. Overall a great case

The case is very light, but seems durable. The pop socket fits flush with the case when not in use. As an added bonus you can swap out the pop sockets. The case is smooth so you have to be careful with it slipping out of your hands if not using the pop socket. It fits very comfortably in my pants pocket. It works with no issues on my wireless charger as well. This is a well designed case that looks good, feels good and works great.

I’ve always had a thin phone case on my device and was never really turned on to the idea of adding a pop socket to the back of my case, adding to the thickness and awkwardness of having this thing kind of sticking from the back of my phone. Then came Otter Box and pop socket innovation to bring a thin protective case with an integrated pop socket to satisfy picky mobile users like myself. My favorite things about this case is how it integrates the pop socket into the design without adding bulk. The case is thin enough that it easily slides in and out of pockets. It has a tight fit on the phone which keeps dust from working its way between the device and case. Being able to prop the phone up using the pop socket helps with movie watching or projecting music. Finally, the pop socket is removable. So if you’re tired of the same look or want to add a splash of color, you simply push in and twist on the pop socket and it pulls away so a new one can be added. Now some improvements that could be made in the next generation. Slightly making the pop socket lower on the phone would have helped with one handed use. It works fantastic as a phone stand, but I’m finding difficulty reaching to the lower items with its placement in the center of the case. Also, instead of a concave design around the pop socket, slimming down the profile of the pop socket and making it flusher with the back would have been neat as well. My complaints are minor because I would recommend this to anyone who was looking for otter box protection without giving up thinness and usability.

I always wanted to try out the pop socket, but I thought it was weak or easily breakable, but turns out that with the Otterbox Pop Symmetry this is not the case. I have an Iphone X and I am pleased to see the pop sockets built into the case, and it comes with an extra swappable pop racing flag style, which is a nice addition. The shape is kind of aerodynamic, and very light comparing to my previous Otterbox that I used to have for my iphone X. In addition to the great drop protection, that Otterbox is well known, the handling of the case is nice. The material that is made it doesn’t slip easily. The buttons are nice with responsiveness. The removal of the popsocket is easy. The popsocket goes flat so fits right in my pocket or purse. The wireless charging works fine with my Belkin flat charger. Overall I am very happy with this product.

felt this was not worth the lack of protection, felt the body was not as strong as a Otterbox case without the pop socket.

So this case is a standard Commuter case from Otterbox. With some options! I like pop sockets but had gotten rid of them because they prevent the phone from lying flat on the table or using a Qi charger. This case allows me those functions and the benefit of the PopSocket! The case covers the entire back and edges with cutaways for the inputs. There is no cover for the front glass of the phone. Keeping the case to a light rubber glove in a plastic outer shield. It not to bulky but does add some width to the phone of about 1/4'' Overall, this is a good case and recommended.

So I like this case more than I thought I would. I typically forego a case on my phones and so far (almost 20 years and counting) I've never dropped/broken an iPhone. This case slides in and out of my pocket easily and doesn't feel too cumbersome. I'm not a huge fan of the PopSocket but it does provide convenience for holding the phone with one hand and I really like the ability to use it as a stand for the phone. What really ticked me off though is the fact that the replacement PopSockets cost $15 EACH!!!! If I want to personalize this tiny piece of plastic with my alma mater (It's all about The U!), or with professional teams etc, then it will cost me $15 per popsocket? no thank you, I'll just keep the boring black one it came with.

Bought it and was hoping for great but it was just average! Gimmicky and not useful

So, my kids have pop sockets on their phones and I just never took to getting one as it felt like a protrusion that would be getting caught on my pants when putting my phone in my pocket etc.. Enter the Otter+Pop Symmetry, this has the otter box safety features we are used to regarding drop protection, it also allows for Qi charging which I use exclusively now to charge my phone (its so convenient) AND this otter Box includes a pop socket! What makes the inclusion so unique is the pop socket sits in a recess in the case that makes the socket sit relatively flush with the case, so as to not get caught on the edge of your pocket when putting it in pants, a jacket etc NOW I can have the features of a pop socket (being able to easily hold the phone with one hand is the top one for me) AND the protection of Otter Box. Great collaboration! Great Product!

The combination Otterbox and Popsocket case is nice and kills two birds with one stone, though there are a couple of things I'd like to see changed in future versions. First, the Popsocket does not sit entirely flush with the case in the closed position - it still protrudes a few millimeters. Though this doesn't sound like a big deal, it still causes the case to not rest directly on the surface upon which it's placed. Second, the Popsocket is placed smack in the middle of the case. For larger phones, like the XS, XS Max and XR, this is a problem. It's much easier to not only hold the phone if the Popsocket is bit closer to the bottom of the phone, but it's also much easier to open and close the Popsocket in this lower position. I think for smaller phones, it may not be a big deal, but for the target market, I think this could be changed in future iterations. Of course, if the Popsocket is lowered in the future, this would require Otterbox to change the shape of the case in order to keep the Popsocket as flush as possible with the case surface.

Third Otter case I've had through the years and it is the same well-fitting, reliable case. The customization cap/button on the case is a very nice touch.
