It does not. That is its main drawback. Otherwise, it is fine. The Apple case (which, unfortunately is not a portfolio style) has the same kind of quality leather and it does work with MagSafe, so you won't be slipping the phone into and out of its case just to use one of the great features of the iPhone 12.

We're sorry to hear that you're not loving your Strada Series case! While that case is compatible with Qi charging pads, it is not designed for optimal functionality with MagSafe accessories. Keep in mind, this case will perform best with OtterBox branded wireless chargers. That being said, we have a sizeable lineup of OtterBox cases that we designed specifically to interact with Apple's MagSafe ecosystem and that have been through our full gauntlet of tests to ensure they will still offer the protection OtterBox is known for. Stiff volume buttons

The plastic is not flexible enough to depress the buttons so you end up squeeze them by grasping the other side of the case. The problem with that is you end up hitting the home button and taking unwanted screen shots.

The lock button works fine but the volume buttons are impossible to use (to the point where I have to use the on screen ones.) Build quality is good, and the magnet is strong, no lock screen detection unfortunately.

It has a nice soft casing that folds over the front of the phone and is secured by a hidden magnetic device. I had an iPhone X and had the exact same case and I had no problems out of it. You also can't beat the "no hassle" lifetime warranty on the Otterbox.

One thing, and more so a preference, the magnetic part of the flap is a little TOO strong. The edge of the flap is of course leather and trying to open the flap can be slightly difficult. But again, my wife said she liked it that way, so there is a preference to it.
