When I picked it up the back glass was shattered. It was upsetting because of their ultimate protection claims. Now I have to pay for a replacement. I won’t buy Otterbox again.

It’s a very sturdy case, I’ll give it that, but the tradeoff is that the plastic they used is a type of hard plastic with a very smooth finish at the back and sides of the case, and they provide no traction whatsoever when the phone is in your hands. So I’m glad the plastic is quite hard because it makes up for the many times it’s slipped out of my hands and fallen to the floor. Some times, when I’m using only one hand to browse on my phone while lying down, it would slip out of my hand and fall on my face. Once, I placed the phone on a glass table, and all my kid had to do was give it a tiny shove, and it sent the phone sliding across the table and off the edge. Maybe if there were rubber/silicone components integrated to the back and sides of this case, I’d recommend it. But it’s a bug no for me. And the 50 Dollar price point makes buying this case a really bad deal. I ended up replacing it with a Spigen case from Amazon that cost me only 16 bucks. It’s got a kick stand too.

If you're looking for a case with a bit more grip, we'd suggest checking out our standard Defender Series case as it has a grippy outer slipcover. Keep in mind, our standard Defender Series cases are not designed for optimal performance with MagSafe.
