I had to return it along with my Samsung phone because I wanted a larger phone. I purchased the larger Samsung phone unlocked and bought a OtterBox case for it - I've used Outter box cases for years and have never had a damaged phone.

You're correct in saying this case doesn't include a charging port door though. If that feature is important to you, we'd recommend checking out our Commuter Series or Defender Series cases.
