You can put the light over two different work areas, over your laptop and over paperwork that you're trying to read at the same time. You can put them together so you can get one bright light. My favorite thing is that you can change the ambient lighting to three shades. It helps quite a bit depending on what you're doing. This is the best desk light I've ever had.

LOVE this thing. It's light, sleek, clean, and works a the touch. Very bendable, and sleek for a modern office. I love the way I can adjust the tones and hue to a more natural setting (I am not a fan of artificial lighting) as this really approximates natural light. I think I paid 20 bucks for it on Deal of Day too.

I really like this lamp for my work desk. The size is perfect, I use the dimmer feature all the time, and I like that I can angle the light towards me. Also, the three different light colors are a nice feature. Sometimes the bright white light is too much and it’s nice to have the more yellow lights too.

So this light is the best desk lamp to provide a variety of light styles for your work area. It even works well to shine it at the wall to provide in direct light to fill your work area and room. The base of the lamp could be a bit smaller in area but otherwise no other problems with it.

I admit, I never heard of OttLite as I never really had a need for a small light like this. Best Buy had it on sale, I read the reviews, compare pricing and reviews from another known site and everything was favorable, so I bought it. I am a pro mobile DJ and recently purchased a small clip on LED light and that works pretty good, but didn't give me the spread I needed to see everything that I needed to see. This included reading notes, printed small. The build of this OttLite is plastic of course, but it feels solid, feels and looks of quality. The controls are easy to use and like the different brightness levels as in my business, lighting at each event is totally different, so setting brightness levels in this case is very helpful. I don't change the modes much as far as the color or warmth of the light. I find a preference and sort of stick with it. I do still play with them though at each event just to see if it would help at all. I do like having two different light bars that you can spread. Yeah, it does not seem like it would be much of a benefit, but it truly is. At least for me it helps see the outer edges of my table. Being able to bend the neck also is a plus for different height adjustments. The ONLY negative I have is more of a personal one and not really a negative except in my use and maybe a few of yours. That is the space that the base takes. It was much bigger than I expected and almost had to take it back because of it. My DJ table is filled enough with DMX Lighting switches, controller, computers, mixer, etc... but I squeezed in the light too. I am quite impressed with this OttLite and though far from inexpensive compared to other similar lights, i feel in the end it was worth it. This OttLite is built well, seems very reliable, very good reviews and should last a long time.

This is beautiful, stylish iightweight lamp that provides clear white daylight, soft white and an intermediate shade and and dimming level a user may like. It is wonderful.
