A Life-Changing Upgrade The Perfect Alternative to a Smartwatch I have never left a full review for anything,but this ring absolutely deserves one! It’s slick, simplistic, almost don’t even notice it’s there sometimes! I have been wearing my Oura Ring since the beginning of August. About a year ago, I was diagnosed with a heart issue and needed to get my weight back down. I am proud to say I went from 185 lbs to 125 lbs in a year! Over the summer, I started working out more, mainly doing water aerobics. I previously had an Apple Watch and absolutely hated it. I didn't want a screen, and I didn't want to be interrupted by calls and texts. Plus, given my line of work, I really didn't want anything on my wrist. I started searching for a fitness tracker that didn't involve a second screen, and the Oura Ring popped up. I did a lot of research on the pros and cons because of the price—I didn't want to invest in something only for it to end up in my closet. Wearing the sizing kit for a week before buying was incredibly helpful. I switched between several sizes and learned that my fingers swell in the mornings and go down throughout the day. Now, I feel naked without my Oura Ring; it has truly become a part of me. The battery life is amazing, and it charges so fast! If the battery is low, I just put it on the charger while I’m in the shower, and it’s practically full by the time I get out. The app is great, though it took me a little while to get the hang of it. I had to look up some of the terminology to understand everything it was capable of. I love the meal logging feature—being able to take a photo of my meal and have the AI analyze it is fantastic. I sometimes have to make minor corrections, but it works really well. I do wish they still had a desktop version since I'm old school and don't love being on my phone, but the app is definitely worth your time once you play around with it. The ring spends the first couple of weeks collecting data to learn your baseline, so you won't see much right away. But once it learns your habits, the app gives great holistic health advice. It tells me when I need to rest after a hard day and even gives me nutritional tips. I also love that it tracks everyday movements, like cleaning the house, rather than just structured workouts. The sleep tracking is hands down worth every penny! Compared to other brands, Oura definitely gets this right. I work a 14-day rotating shift from days to nights, and the app helps me combat fatigue and make sure my body gets the rest it needs. I used to think I was good at listening to my body, but Oura gives me the tips and tricks I need to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I also really appreciate the stress level indicators that tell me when I need to take a moment to calm down. Thank you, Oura!

I am absolutely in love with the Oura ring. The recent model has a nice slim design, battery last for almost a week. The tracking abilities of what you can monitor are amazing I was able to eliminate my period tracker by using this too. It’s a piece of mind on the finger couldn’t recommend this anymore, best purchase this year thus far! If I have any feedback, it would just be about the finish - I originally bought the brushed silver, and it almost had a blue undertone to it which I didn’t like and swapped it out for the silver, but the silver has more of a dark/gray look rather than a true bright silver ring. Still giving this five stars, but there is room for improvement on the color finish of the ring.

I genuinely LOVE my Oura Ring. It’s soooo sleek!! I don’t have a protector so mine is scratched a little…I originally wanted it because I was interested in tracking my sleep and overall health, but I did not realize how much information I would actually get from wearing such a small, simple ring. The sleep tracking is probably one of my favorite features. Instead of just telling me how many hours I slept, it gives me a sleep score and helps me understand how well I actually recovered. I also love the Readiness Score because it gives me a quick snapshot of how my body is doing that day. Seeing my sleep, recovery and activity together has made me much more aware of my habits. The activity tracking has also been surprisingly motivating. I can see when I reach or completely exceed my activity goal, and it feels rewarding without needing to constantly check a smartwatch. I personally prefer having everything tracked from a ring because it is so easy to wear and I barely think about it being there. What really makes Oura stand out to me is how much it tracks beyond steps and workouts. I can look at my daytime stress, heart rate, resilience, heart health and even cycle insights. I especially love seeing the temperature changes used for cycle tracking because it gives me another way to understand what my body is doing throughout the month. The app is also one of the biggest reasons I love it. There is a lot of data available, but it is organized in a way that actually makes sense. I can open it and quickly see my Sleep, Readiness and Activity scores, then go deeper whenever I want more information. It has genuinely made me pay more attention to my sleep, recovery and overall health instead of just focusing on how I think I feel. I wear mine every day and would absolutely buy it again. It is one of those products that becomes part of your routine so quickly that you wonder how you went without it.

I made the change from an Apple Watch to the new aura ring 5 and I had always thought the aura rings were bulky and wouldn’t look right on smaller hands. When the 5 came out with a new smaller design it was quite literally perfect! I did all the research and luckily found only one gold one left in my area at Best Buy! It works great for sleep and daily vital tracking. I’d say the only thing I miss is the workout tracking on the Apple Watch just because I could actively monitor my heart rate if I was doing a cardio exercise. You can track workouts on the Aura Ring too just not as detailed information provided during the workout. Just an adjustment to make but other than that, best purchase!! 10/10 would recommend!

It’s comfortable enough to wear all day and while sleeping. My favorite features are sleep and stress tracking. I really like seeing how my sleep, recovery and daily habits affect how I feel. I have been wearing Oura’s rings since Gen 2. The integration between the ring and its app is truly refined and polished. The feature set has expanded quite a lot and it is easy to understand why Oura is the one to beat. Ring 5 vs. Ring 4: worth it? If you are a ‘casual user’ who only checks the data every few days or so—maybe not. If you are a regular user who faithfully checks the Sleep Metric as I do each and every morning, I’m thinking yes, you may very well appreciate the refinements from gen 4 to gen 5. Gen 5 IS remarkably smaller and lighter than Gen 4 and I noticed it immediately. It is a lot less bulky and barely protrudes where Gen 4 would regularly rub against my adjacent finger. Battery life so far is noticeably better. Gen 5 seems to use about 11 percent of the battery each day (plus or minus depending on my activity level). Gen 4 was in need of a battery boost about every four days. So far Gen 5 is getting me about 8 days or so. The real value with any fitness device comes in how helpful (and how accurate) the software proves to be. With Oura, I can easily cross check against Apple Health (I own an Apple Watch) and I find that Oura’s metrics tend to more closely align with how I am actually feeling. It does a great job too of warning against looming fatigue from too many hard gym workouts, for example. And it will offer useful advice or guidance on how to re-set, maybe take a day off,etc. This combined with the comprehensive Sleep Metrics really does provide me with personal, useful, and accurate health and lifestyle support. And the fact that it is a simple (looking) and very attractive ring without a display, no speaker, no buzzing, no intrusions(!), makes it that much easier to always wear it. I’m a bit of a health nut, health data geek and I can easily say this is my favorite health tech device. Last point—updating the ring in the app truly could not be easier to do! I had the old ring disconnected and the new ring recognized and synched in under 5 minutes. Absolutely a refined, polished ownership experience.
