This is an excellent film with the inimitable Sean Connery and a great supporting cast, including Peter Boyle. And true to form, I received it earlier than promised.

Great classic movie! Enjoyed the blu ray quality of this movie.

I'm a HUGE fan of Mr Connery, mostly his James Bond roles Im old enough to remeber.:-) I had actully never paid much attention to this particular movie, but out of respect I looked into it again. Then ssing it available here on Best Buy I bought it. Watching this blue ray version was like seeing the movie for the first time, and that's what it felt like. Mr. C is his usual toughness, and this version of the flick is techically excellent.+

Peter Hyams wanted to make a western but the studios said no, so we have Outland, basically High Noon in space. Solid performances by Sean Connery and Frances Sternhagen make this a really good movie that blends genres. The film looks great and there is a full length commentary as a special feature.

I watched this movie many years ago and always wanted to own a copy. I had hoped to buy it in Blu-ray but it is ridiculously expensive for an older movie. So I'm settling for regular DVD because I like the move so much I couldn't pass it up.

Wow what a difference a format makes. ‘Outland’ never looked better so for all of you whom are fans of the film go and get the upgrade you won’t be disappointed.

So happy to get this blu ray in my collection. This is sort of a forgotten little gem from the early 80’s. Sean Connery is always great!

A quality futuristic retelling of High Noon. The blu ray transfer tho is only good, not great.

An oldie but a goodie. Special effects are pretty outdated but the practical effects are still good.

The ROKU t.v. is fantastic. I have connected it to my wifi and it works like a charm.

Connery is a space cop. The bad guys don't like cops that can't be bought. It's cartel vs cop. Just not on earth. Fun twist.

A great adventure and well worth watching in memory of the great Sean Connery!

The 80's had wonderful Sci-Fi movies and this movie is one of the best. A must see if you love old Sci-Fi movies.

I liked Sean Connery in this movie. He owned the lead role and made it a good, classic movie.

The old DVD of this title was one of the very worst for picture quality. Anyone who ever saw it knows that it was badly in need of a new transfer. Well, it got one . . . and the difference is remarkable. The new blu-ray is very accurate to the way the film originally looked. It's still a dark film with a lot of drab colors, but the image is clear. Toss your old DVD immediately -- this is a well made, suspenseful and smart film . . . and it has never looked better!

Don't be fooled on this one. It says enhanced for widescreen tvs and its not. Also, this movie has one of the worst video transfers that i have ever seen. Probably not as bad as the original Highlander disc, but still bad. As for the movie, i really like it. I grew up watching it. the sets are cool, and i love a lot of the concepts.
