When I first watched this series on Cartoon Network,it was one of the best shows since Gundam Wing,and Escaflowne. I did like it, it was pretty funny as well.I had to get this for my collection,and I did. But after buying the entire collection on DVD, it got a whole lot better. It was cool that they added some never before scenes. I also like all the funny jokes in the show like when Gene tries to kiss Jim in episode 9. I also liked the part where Gene dresses up like a girl to be in a fighting tournament. Those were the most funniest parts I've seen in the show. Another thing I liked in the show are the 2 characters Duuz, and Valeria(who we will see in the spin off,the Angel Links) I think it was cool to see them for the first time. Another thing I liked about the show is the theme song "Through the Night", that's one of my favorite songs in the show,and the 2nd ending theme"Tsuki No Le" What this show really tells us that the journey to fortune can be really rough. We all have to have a dream,and work hard to achieve that goal. The series features some great voice like:Wendy Lee,Michael McConnohie (famous for Transformers,and Vampire Hunter D, and Ultra Maniac),Ian Hawk,Steve Cannon,Zan,and others. Their really isn't much to be said about this series. It was made by the same studio that created Cowboy Bebop, Escaflone, Witch Hunter Robin, and More recently the Code Geass Series. When this show first started it got overlooked by many because of the Gundam Series as well as Cowboy Bebop which came out around the same time. However Outlaw Star is every bit as stylish, exciting, and enthralling as either. Music isn't as well done and strong as the music in Bebop, which is the only real shortcoming. Sunrise Studios has for a while been known for their artistic style and Outlaw Star keeps with that legacy of brilliant art style and fluid animation.

It starts out as Gene Starwind and Jim Hawking are bounty hunters and soon after meeting with "Hot Ice" Hilda they quickly find themselfs in deep with her. Soon after they all get to "Blue Heaven" a spaceport they are ambushed by Aisha Clanclan a cat like creature that wants what they have. It just gets worse when they meet up with the very sexy 'Twilight' Suzuka who is an assassin sent to kill Fred Low (a friend of Gene's). This all happens in the ship "The Outlaw Star" whitch is the fastest ship in the glaxy. Saught after by Kei Pirates and the police Gean and his crew has a good time on their hands. All while looking for something called the Glactic Layline whitch holds more money then anyone could ever think possible.

The series is great- any one that likes Cowboy Bebop will probably like this one. The only thing that I didn't like about the box is that it's hard to get the DVD's in and out of without the fear of breaking said DVD. There is, like another person said, no extra content which is a disappointment- but the series is so great that I don't really mind.

I bought this for my husband and he loves it. He loves the show and it has the entire series. Not really much for extras just advertising for other anime DVDs.

This series is a good one to get. Plenty of Anime Outlaw fights on land, air, sea, and space. The graphics is awesome and has a nice finding the great treasure theme. I only gave it a 4 because of the box it comes in. Not much work put into making it and no extra content in it either. but if your just looking for a good anime series to buy then this is for You.

This is one of the best anime title I have seen in a loong time. I love the outer space dogfights. This is worth getting.

Outlaw Star is great! Another classic buy! I recommend this to anyone who loves great anime.
