Need a nintendo online subscription to even open

Until "an update at a later time" you cannot even open the game unless you have nintendo online subscription. So I cannot even try this until whenever that uodate may possibly come or resubscribe to nintendo online whxih I don't have enough xhance to uae to justify and should be free anyway.
