This game was released in 2016 but continues to be a great game for beginners to team-based first person shooter games. Blizzard continues to release new, free content to the game that continues to bring new energy and life to the game. The graphics of the game can't be beat. This compliments the variety of characters to play, all with unique abilities and play styles. This game is good for new players to FPS games because the player can choose certain characters that do not require precise aiming (Brigitte, Reinhardt, Moira, and others). This game is easy to get into for casual players offering tons of fun no matter what game mode you prefer. Although it can get competitive very easily and differently harder once you go up against experienced players.

Honestly, Blizzard has done a fantastic job with this game! There's a huge variety of characters each with unique powers and abilities that make their playstyles distinct from each other. For example, yes you could pick 76 and play a standard soldier type character. But if pick a character like Genji, who's a ninja, it's literally a COMPLETELY different game. This isn't a First Person Shooter, it goes way beyond that. This is a team based first person action game and it honestly does it better than I've seen any other game do it. Not to mention, all updates and added characters are 100% free!

Overall, Overwatch does a lot of things right. Loot boxes are cosmetic, DLC is free, and there's a lot of heroes to pick from. Matchmaking sometimes takes a while on PS4 but you eventually get into one. I want to say though that the PC version of this game is far superior and in my opinion probably has way more people playing at any given moment if matchmaking queue times are anything to go by. On PC, you get into matches fast, but its always close to or over a 5 minute wait on PS4. The game plays great, has all the same options you see on PC, lots of ways to customize how the game runs. I just personally find the PC version superior and recommend that over the PS4 version if you're trying to decide what platform to get it on. That's not to say the PS4 version isn't bad, its not at all, but if you have options, I can't recommend this over the PC version.

This is a really great game! It's got a good variety of characters, all of them are different and unique with different weapons and abilities. There is no campaign mode. There is also no customization or upgrades available, a few skins for each character. The maps are fantastic, ranging from North America to Asia. Everything comes in the game and any future characters or maps will be added to the game through patches!

This isn’t a BAD game by any stretch of the imagination, but how it won so many game of the year awards and obtained perfect rating scores is beyond me. It’s very stylish and beautiful, and has fairly crisp controls. I rate it as harshly as this due to the complete lack of a campaign mode, which is disgraceful. Star Wars Battlefront 1 was guilty of this as well; the multiplayer in both games is fun, but doesn’t merit the entire game. I also found the “balanced” matchmaking to be a joke, it’s unfair that I’m just staring out, and facing level 60 players on the other side.

All the fun of a first person shooter mixed with the tactical strategy genre. This is a great game to ply with a group of friends. Even if you matchmake with random people it is still a ton of fun. Every character has a distinctive skill set you can learn and master to become a better player. Blizzard always makes polished wel thought out games that will last for many years to come

I normally prefer games that are story driven, but I found myself addicted to this game the more I played it. While there's no central story mode, each of the characters are so unique that it takes a good amount of time to master use of any of them. I recommend for all players.

Overwatch is definitely one of the most popular games of the last few years, raking in significant attention and exciting a lot of the gaming populous. It's a fairly easy to understand shooter game, but affords a great deal of nuance in learning the ropes and finding what characters you're good at. However, some major drawbacks. The loot box system available in Overwatch is definitely predatory in nature, although not to the extent a lot of mobile games or other console games take it to. If for whatever reason you're letting children play this game, be aware of that. Most skins and other cosmetics can be purchased through in game currency, but a select few are locked into seasonal loot boxes which I find a little scummy. I'd also advise, depending on your level of play, consider finding a group of friends to play with, or simply don't use voice chat. Overwatch, like any popular game, has a vocal and toxic userbase. It's much more fun to joke around in a party with friends than listen to 13 year olds call you slurs online. The Game of the Year edition includes a download code for 10 free loot boxes (fairly nice), and includes all the benefits of the Origin version (skins, items in StarCraft, etc...). Worth picking up on sale.

I save a lot of money by waiting a year or two before purchasing a game. An added benefit is the highly discounted price and extra stuff that gets added over the life of the product. OVerwatch is a highly addictive and fun game. Highly recommended.

Great game that doesn't require a ton of gore and blood to be entertaining. I bought it for my son but I play it too. Fast paced with multiple characters to choose from, all who have different abilities so it keeps things interesting.

Overwatch is an amazing game! It teaches teamwork, sportsmanship and more. The game never gets old with new updates all of the time! A lot of places to battle and lots of heroes to choose from! This game is a must for your ps4!

This game right here is my all time favorite game to play. I play this everyday. This game is about working as a team and each person plays a unique character with certain skills. The game is fun and challenging

I would absolutely recommend Overwatch, particularly if you have a handful of friends that will play with you. It provides great gameplay, and Blizzard is good about delivering new content on a regular basis.

I love this game. It’s so agonizingly frustrating but at the same time satisfying. It’s a great multiplayer game with constant updates. No worries of paid DLC or level cap. Multiplayer can be toxic.

A game with free added DLC content, wonderful vibrant characters with interesting back stories, colorful worlds, amazing game play, and an art style that is comparable to Pixar! Nough said.

The best thing about Overwatch is that it’s still fun if you’re not great at the game. Easy to learn, difficult to master, and gets constant updates. A near perfect shooter.

This is an online shooter. It's the same genre as call of duty but much better. Not to mention Overwatch is an on going game. There are updates and events all the time.

Our child just loves this game. He loves all the characters and it’s like playing Fortnite but better because the characters have different abilities.
