Customers are saying

Customers admire Overwatch's smooth and intuitive gameplay, along with its portability and surprisingly good performance on the Switch. While some found the controls took time to adjust and experienced occasional lag, many felt the game was worth the price, especially with the online play option. The large download size was also noted as a potential drawback.

First time playing it on the switch and it runs so great. This game is a lot of fun. I think Nintendo did a great job bringing this to switch.

The game arrived 1 day later, I used my points/rewards and paid almost nothing for it. The best part, my 12 year old is still thanking me after getting it for Christmas!!! We scored this year, thank you for your great customer service.

As a long time console Overwatch fan... the switch port is a great addition. It won’t replace playing comp on console but having the portability to play some practice Overwatch while laying in bed is awesome!! I’m impressed at how decent it runs and the graphics are about the same as running it on lowest settings of a PC. It’s good enough to enjoy if you’re already a fan of Overwatch.

Now my opinion is a bit biased because I'm a huge fan of Overwatch itself, but this game is keeping me on it forever. I love playing as my favorite character and wreaking havoc among the map. Great shooter for someone with a Nintendo Switch. A lot of people will complain about fps and graphics and controls but honestly this is probably one of the only and best shooters that you can get on the Switch (aside from Splatoon 2 & Starlink). Oh! Also it's a download code, remember that (not an actual cartridge)

FYI - There is no cartridge with this, even though it is a physical copy. It comes with the download code, 3 months of Nintendo Online, and a DLC Skin Pack. It's an online only game anyway so the lack of a cartridge is not a big deal. The graphics are great on handheld mode and the movements are smooth. Online play is great.

    Amazing First Person Shooter

Overwatch is an amazing first person shooter, it has 32 available characters to choose from, each with their own unique abilities, you can play different rolls, either be tank, damage or support, be aware this videogame is played completely 100% online, it does not have a story mode, and you can't play offline, so you will need a Nintendo Switch Online membership, thankfully this game comes with a 3 month online service, but I repeat be aware it cannot be played offline.

My 2nd copy of the game. I've had it on Xbox and now on the Nintendo Switch. I got this game because of the portability of the switch for me to play it on the go. This game is surprisingly great even though it is on the nintendo switch. I didn't have any problems with its gameplay. Sure, it took about 3 games to get used to the controls of the joycons as opposed to the xbox controller. Ultimately, still as fun as it was on the Xbox. Great and fun game!

Honestly, Overwatch is such a great game! This is my 2nd purchase pf this switch title, it was meant for my nephew and I cant to play with him online. Plus he gets 3 mos of Nintendo Switch Online. This was cheaper for me because of my GCU so cant complain. Just get it! It's that good! No you dont get a physical cartridge but you dont need it because you would want to switch and play this game asap!

The port of this game to the switch is excellent and runs very well in the switch. The graphics look really sharp in portable mode and all the events and skins exist in this version as well. The only downside is the the load time can be long and the game looks muddy in TV mode. But portable mode is a wonderful and I can't recommend it enough!

I think it's safe to say that if you enjoy Overwatch on PC or home console, then you will like this version. It's pretty much the exact same game. One issue I have with this though, which seems to be a trend, is that purchasing a physical copy of the game doesn't give you a physical cartridge to use. You still have to download the entire game from the Internet. The retail box makes this clear, but I still wish there was a physical cartridge. Otherwise you might as well buy a digital copy. Another minor issue I have is that if you're playing the handheld mode, some of the text can be hard to read. This problem seems unavoidable though, so I didn't think it should affect the rating. Plus, you can always play in the docked mode and use a TV and this doesn't become a problem anymore.

Such a fun game and I got this when it was on sale for $15. Worth the money and I love the fact that I can play this game anywhere I want being on the switch. Only complaint I have is that I wish this was a physical copy instead of a digital download code.

Overwatch on switch runs like a dream. They're lots of players battling online with 31 Heroes to choose from. sure it's 30fps but for $39.99 you're getting a 3 month switch online subscription ($8) and overwatch plus dlc, which is a great deal.

Ive been playing Paladins on the switch for over a year now so maybe it’s just that I’m used to playing that game instead, but it’s not the best game I’ve played on the switch. Dont get me wrong, it’s a good game, it just not my favorite game to play as of yet. That being said, I’m still playing it and trying to get better. I especially hate the lag when it comes to loading characters and hope they fix that soon. Overall, it’s a decent port, just not my favorite. That being said, it’s still a lot of fun to play from time to time.

The game is fun and l love the portability. I was worried that there wouldn't be an online community for the Switch but I don't have any issues finding matches.

It plays just like the other console versions and looks great. The 30fps is barely noticeable and portable Overwatch is as great as it sounds.

I ordered this game though BestBuy.com expecting a physical game cartridge. What came in the mail was a physical game case but inside was a code to download the game. I am upset because I wanted to have the cartridge and not a download. But other than Bestbuys lack of clarity, the game is fun to play on the switch. It can be a bit laggy when docked but its super smooth when played via handheld.

I play this on X-Box and Windows and, though there are differences with Switch version, it still is fun. Obviously the controls take a bit to get used to but the learning curve isn't too bad. The competition is all over the place, yet seems smaller than the other networks. I'm guessing it is since it is so new. When playing it docked, you notice the graphics aren't as strong as console or desktop but I don't see myself playing it there a lot. At the end of the day, it is still a blast.

I would have to imagine most people would know Overwatch by now but in case you don't, it's a highly polished hero focused multiplayer game that's extremely similar to Team Fortress 2. Each hero is unique with their own qualities that usually has them fall under a class type, teamwork will get you far while lone wolves only work for the most skilled players. There is a ton of content here but there is the addition of lootboxes for cosmetics. You'll occasionally get them for free here or there during seasonal events but they don't come cheap if you decide to shell out some money. Make sure to create a blizzard\battle.net account so you can sync your progress across any version of the game. As for the Switch version, it runs well with some minor dips in visuals to maintain a high frame-rate. However there is a good reason it comes 3 months of free Nintendo online as the game is useless without online access. I perk here is that the 3 months will stack with an already active membership. Overwatch is a fun game and this is a unique version to play especially in portable mode, but with the abundance of wireless players with more frequent disconnects, I would suggest to buy this at a sale price.
