The game itself is excellent, with fun metroid-vania like progression and exploration, as well as an engaging story and beautifully rendered art style. The physical version itself seems a bit lacking (it's just the cover and the game cart) when compared to Nicalis games (usually include full manuals and other 'goodies'), but otherwise it's a worthy indie darling that feels most appropriate to have on the Switch.

I had been waiting for the physical release of this because of all the hype around it and it has not disappointed. I love the art, the story, the gameplay and especially the price.

Beautiful 16-bit graphics, great use of music and sound and an engaging story. What else can I say that has not already been said about this awesome game. If you're a fan of side-scrolling platformers, I highly recommend you check this little gem out.

This game was 10 years in the making and I am glad it finally came out. It looks gorgeous and it's very fun to play. Characters are poignant and I enjoyed the overall story. The price is pretty good too for the amount of content it offers. I love having this physically as part of my collection.

I bought this game strictly for the value as a collector, had no idea about the game but was amazed at how into it I got. The gameplay, the music, the story, everything about it made me wanting more. Must have for the value.

The game has well written and very compelling story, the world is absolutely beautiful, and the gameplay is top notch. At this price point though, it's an absolute steal.

This is a unique platformer with a super cool art style and a good story. The controls feel a little clunky at times, but they don’t hinder the experience too much. Overall, it’s a really good game.

I decided to purchase this game after listening to a review that states that this game is like a Super Nintendo game. Once I heard Super Nintendo, I knew I had to purchase it because I am Super Nintendo fan boy. Is this game like a side-scroller from the Super Nintendo. Yes and no. The game looks beautiful, like a SNES game, and there are elements from a SNES side-scroller; but it also has its rpg elements, which makes the game slow. At times, I rather just play than read the text. However, for the actual game play, it is an enjoyable game; but be warned, there is a learning curve for the controls.

Despite being a fun game with a great story that will leave the player with 7 to 10 hours of content, it falls short on unique ideas and leaves the player with some repetitive tasks that will make you want to quit at times. This is well worth a play-through however and for the price of $15-20 I would definitely not miss out on this one. Its full retail price is a bit steep though.

This is a fun little indie game. It feels right out of the super Nintendo era. It's not a platformer, as you mainly fly around and shoot with some light puzzle solving. The game is very charming, has nice 16 bit visuals, and subtle but impressive music. If you like 2d games, pixel art games, side scrollers, then this game is for you.

I own this game digitally but got the physical copy for a friend of mine. I’m a huge fan 16 bit/pixel graphics. There are a lot of puzzles and the game can get a bit challenging but it’s a good game. I haven’t beat it yet but I’ve enjoyed my time with it so far!

This game is such a joy to play. From the art, to the music, to the gameplay, Owlboy delivers. It's a cute game full of whimsy & charm. Just buy it!

Fantastic art direction and music combine to form this charming adventure that is appropriate for all ages, the sense of flight in this game really elevate this action/adventure, highly recommended.

I was shocked at how much I enjoyed this game. The story was good, the characters great! and the gameplay met expectations. The only downside I can give it is it may overstay it's welcome just a little to long.

Great game with a wonderful story. its a must own on the Switch I would say as once I started it, I couldn't put it down.

I picked this up on sale and with my gamer’s club discount and it was totally worth it. Immersive story and entertaining game play. Would not buy it at regular price, but worth it if you can get it on sale.
