Purchased a dash cam and needed this cable to hid cords. They did a fantastic job as usual.

Needed to add an additional 12 Volt Power Outlet under the dash of my new Bronco. This worked perfectly.

Misleading information, my power supply went out in my big reg so I thought I’ll get something temporary till i fix it & connect directly to my batteries, specifications shows 20 feet long but actually it’s barely 1 foot , found what I want online cheaper & better quality . Returning immediately.

Bought a front and rear dashcam. When I dropped the car off for the install, they recommended adding the adapter so it will free up the charger. I appreciate them offering this. It was worth it.

This adapter is highly recommended if your dash cam doesn’t already come with a hard wire cable to facilitate installation. It frees up using your vehicle’s cigarette lighter adapter.

I came across this item when searching for a way to hardwire my dash cam in my car. Initially I thought I might be restricted to using a splitter in the 12V outlet which would have also meant exposed wires along the dash or a toggle switch which I'm no fan of. This worked perfectly for my application. Upon connecting to the dash cam, I ran the cable behind the windshield header, then behind the a-pillar and zip tied the port behind the dash on the lower left side. Grounded it to the car and ran the power to an add-a-fuse in the engine bay fuse box. The dash cam now powers up/down with the ignition. And the best thing is...NO exposed cables/wires! Great value and product for the price.

I bought a dash cam on Amazon and I need this adapter for the installer to be able to complete the hard wiring process. Very fairly priced it that could be marked up just because. Work very well so far!

Great product straight forward and easy install when accompanied with fuse tappers. Used as a secondary 12V for my dashcam and has been working well with no problem.

Took my car to Best Buy in Findlay, OH, to have my dash-cam professionally installed. I was a little disappointed to learn that my Honda could not be fitted with a kit to directly power my dash-cam; i would have to plug into my accessory outlet on my console. The installer, though, presented the option that he could use the peripheral 12v adapter to tie into my accessory line and plug into the line under my dashboard, out of view. This worked out perfectly!! Lines hidden, unseen, and no problems, and I still have access to the console outlet for cell phone charging.

The technician installed this when he put in our new stereo so we could use our portable satellite radio in our motor home. It's hidden behind the dash and has been working well.

Wish I didn't need it but it is working fine. Installs well for old and newer model cars. One drawback is you have to get used to the new diagonal angle to connect other adaptors.
