This movie has a great story didn't think it would be so story driven but was surprised the action was awesome to.

Pacific Rim is one of those excellent huge-scale summer spectacles that has carried on since its release for mainstream audiences. Guillermo Del Toro's Giant Robot movie still remains a spectacular movie that ignites the inner 10-year old to any viewer, 18 & beyond! On Blu-Ray, it is highly recommended to purchase as the movie looks beautiful and stylish to behold on your television, playing on the ration quality like Avengers and Avatar for consumers to savor every detail in the movie with a stellar soundtrack of Monsters and Robots duking it out for the fate of the human race. Also, there are plenty of extras to behold; the combo pack offers over 2 hours of bonus features to last to your cinephile heart's content. Unfortunately, the UC code is not included since it has expired for some time now, but anyone who has Flixster, can convert the dvd into a digital copy to add for your UV library, though a small price is required. Go buy Pacific Rim, it's worth the money!!!

GREAT action, great graphics, great movie. This has a good story lots of action and amazing graphics.

If you love robots fighting, you will like this movie. Humans are controlling the large robots taking over. Fun movie to watch!

This movie has always been a favorite of mine but in 4k UHD with an LG OLED TV it's even more amazing!!

Movie is a guilty pleasure. From a technical standpoint, movie is reference grade, night scenes, and sound are demo-worthy.

One of the best 4K UHD transfers and uses of HDR out there. Movie itself is an enjoyable watch as well.

Thoroughly enjoyed this film especially in 4k. A great story with Hunman doing a fine job. He is also very underrated as an actor.

This movie was as great now as it was when it came out!! Kids loved it because of the cool robots.

Pacific rim is a great movie to have especially in the 4k quality puts this movie over the top.

Mecha and Kaiju (japanese for giant monster) fans rejoice, now you can see both duke it out in real life so-to-speak. I won't reveal any of the plot here but rest assured it is surprisingly good. The whole concept is written by the same guy that wrote Pan's Labyrinth and directed both Hellboy films. It has an interesting well thought out story and yet doesn't skimp on the action. Most of the characters are fleshed out very well with the exception of a few. Unfortunately every character is very interesting so you feel sad about knowing more about those few. The detail of every last bit of visual is amazing. Obviously Del Toro is a visuals master and it shows. The flesh of every monster reacts like a real animal. Muscle and bone seem to move under the skin and flesh jiggles slightly with every terrible step. The robots are even more amazing. you can see every part of the machines move and work as they fight off the Kaiju horrors. The sets too react with every movement. The effects at actor level are just as good. The sound of this film is astounding. I hope you've got surround sound so you can get fully immersed. If I had any real complaint it's thatthis movie fits a particular audience. If your not into Sci-Fi then you won't enjoy this much and if you love hard Sci-Fi then you won't like it either. It has a certain niche. That said, this is one film I will be giving to a friend then buying it on Blu-Ray just to have an even better looking copy. I'm said I didn't do it in the first place...

Great deal on this 4k. Picked it up as an upgrade over standard def version. Glad I did!

I bought this 3D movie to watch on my VR headset. Love the movie but this 3D version was fun.

Its a really good movie. I really enjoyed it. It's not a good movie for young kids.

The 4K blu-ray is definitely benefitting from the Wide Color Gamut and HDR. So many of the scenes in Pacific Rim are filmed in the rain/dark or under water. These scenes are quite improved with the 4K release. The armor of the Jaegers really pops with the additional detail and color. When they are inside, the colors are almost beaming off the screen. If you are a fan of this movie, this is definitely worth the double dip. The 4K presentation is rock solid. This is demo material.

Love this movies, because they are like a throwback to the monster movies I watched as a kid.,..only with much cooler tech

Who wouldn't like to see giant robots kick butt. The story itself is good but could be better. Overall I really liked it.

This movie was terrific and I love all the action! Definitely one of my favorites.

I always enjoyed Pacific Rim in the past for its stunning visual special effects. The 4K disc was finally on sale recently and I picked it up and couldn't wait to finally sample the 4K. The video quality is outstanding and the HDR provides a ton of color pop throughout the film. I only wish it was available in Dolby Vision on disc. I think the Dolby Vision looks better than standard HDR, and you can get that on VUDU. However, I prefer discs over streaming sources. When watching on VUDU, you get some mild distortion around fast moving frames. It's not a huge deal, but it is noticable to me. Now to the sound, the Dolby Atmos is excellent. You can a ton of sound field effects in all your surround speakers including upper speakers. The base is pounding throughout. I love the base when the baby kaiju is being born. Overall, this is one of my top 4K discs that I would consider to be a reference disc for sampling for others. A definite recommended purchase for video & audiophiles.
