Intro to self-injury
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw this movie when it first aired on TV in May of 2000 (it was called "Secret Cutting" then). Studying in the field of psychology, I wanted to see it again to watch the family dynamics and the triggers that caused Dawn to feel the need to injure herself. The movie is a honest look at self-injury and helps to dispel some of the myths that surround it. The acting isn't the best, but the point comes across.
