I read several reviews and felt this buy would benefit me. I was right. I had all my electronics plugged into 2 low end power surge protectors...then I bought the panamax. I have an OLD Samsung LED tv bought in 2008, apple tv, bose cinemate 10, samsung dvd blu-ray player, xfinity cable and wi-fi. I plugged all these electronics into the appropriate receptacles of the panamax and WOW, The picture was greatly improved, to the point that I am rethinking getting rid of this tv after buying a new one. The sound from my outdated Bose Cinemate is crisper and more delineated. I am looking forward to upgrading my home theater system, but, I understand how important electrical conditioning decreases "noise" and how it improves the performance of each piece of the home theater bundle. I highly recommend even if you have an old a**system like mine.

Impressed with build quality and features. It’s a little on the large size to fit in a cabinet, probably better for a rack (comes with rack hardware). I like that it shows how many volts or amps the components draw so you can make sure it doesn’t overload a 15 amp circuit I am noticing a slight hum when it’s on, but it doesn’t transfer to speakers, sub, etc. curious if others get this as well... Otherwise would be 5 stars

Bought this to replace a Monster Power box that died in a surge. So far, this Panamax has done exactly what it's supposed to do- provide power and filter out noise. The switched outlets work as advertised and the front display can be dimmed or turned off entirely. I haven't had any issues with hum which some other reviewers mention, but it's also hidden away in a cabinet in my A/V closet. It's 5 stars at $464, only four at MSRP- wait for it to go on sale if you can.

So when you are spending several thousand dollars on your home theater system you want to protect your investment and this baby will do just that.it retails for 800 dollars but Best Buy had it for 640 dollars.money well spent.i have been a big fan of Panamax since the 1970s Buy it you can’t go wrong.

I was very impressed with the noise filtration system and the ability to protect electronics from surges. I had my Home theatre system turned on and noticed the voltage out was suddenly increasing and the Panamax system automatically turned off at 126 volts and turned back on. I didn’t know what to expect but everything came back on and voltage out was back to normal. I really like this surge protector/conditioner.

All in all im glad I made the purchase. It does regulate voltage, but it is not exactly spot on. Ex...incoming voltage 125 outgoing voltage 115. incoming 128 outgoing 117 to 118. Also, power bank #5 (high current) does not regulate voltage, only banks 1 through 4. There is a slight audible hum to the unit.

I wanted to make sure my LG 65EG9600 was well protected. Not to mention my top of the line Sony blu-ray player and my PS4. Plus whatever else was going to be near there. This is great. I know everything is protected! Not only can I see the input and output on the front of the unit, there are several banks in the back to help separate everything out. TV on one bank, blu-ray player on the other, Sonos playbar and sub on the third, and PS4 on the last. If you have a lot of high end products I would recommend this to you. It was recommended to me by an audiophile who is going to school for audio. So his recommendation went a long way.

I replace 5300 with the 5400. 5300 worked great for 8 years. I had at less 3 brown outs. In that time frame. The last one did it in.so I replaced it with a better one. Both of them give me a better pic. And knowing my equipment is protected. My opinion it'seems worth the money when you can pick it up for $500. I also wanted to see if there is any difference from 5300 to 5400. Still thinking of sending the 5300 back to Panamax to be fixed. Reading low voltage alarm stays on. For now I love 5400 not seeing much of a difference from the 5300. Both work great. Hope to get 8 or more years out of 5400. Cheaper then buying new equipment. All of my electronics are 8 years old. I do believe it's helping to keep my devices healthy.

Bought this to power my stereo component through. Got it on open box for about 60% off. Currently powering Marantz 8805A, Apple TV, PS5, Teac 505 streamer, Marantz MM8077 power amp, cable box, Samsung TV, Oppo DVD, Alexa. No hiccups works as advertised.

I caught it on sale. Which made it better buy. It was very expensive but works very well. Easy to install and operate. Perfect for your home theater system.

Exactly what I wanted. I have researched these units for years. Pricey, however, it provides a greater piece of mind knowing my equipment is reliably protected. Display dimming is a plus.

Phenomenal clean power source. Perfect picture, never a worry about anything being ruined by a surge. This is exactly what I needed for my home theater setup (Yamaha reviever, subwoofers, HDTV, etc, etc) Soft start up, soft shut down. Little pricey but worth it!

The Panamax works well, although it is a little slow in reacting to voltage changes (to be fair I am running four high powered amplifiers through twin Panamax 5400 so there is sufficient power demand) and does have a slight hum to it even when in standby

This unit replaces an older Monster power conditioner, no longer available. The unit functions very well and does what it is supposed to do. The connection ports are clearly labeled, with enough space between to allow easy connections. The front panel has two readouts; the left one shows the input voltage, and the right one can either display the output voltage or the amperage being drawn by the downstream devices. Those appeal to my techie side.

This thing is great. It has switchable outlets, dimmable display, and best of all great protection for peace of mind. You spend a lot of money on the tv, Blu-ray player, receiver, all those electronics and most people don’t even think about the power coming in to all of it..... one surge and it could all be fried!!

Does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Simple to set up and easy to use. Blue lights make it look good. Does have a low humming noise but can hardly hear it from where it’s located relative to where we sit.

I purchased a New Samsung 65" Q90T Q-LED TV and a Samsung - HW-Q950T 9.1.4ch Soundbar with Dolby Atmos / DTS:X and Alexa Built-in (2020) - Black, and a Samsung 4K UHD Blu-ray DVD Player and a 4K Ultra Roku and other various items and installed them in my New BDI Media Center and needed a way to manage my AC cords while providing some Surge Suppression for those nasty Summer Thunderstorms we are known for in Eastern NC. So I researched for a long time and ended up with the Panamax M5400-PM, 11-Outlet Power Conditioner/Surge Protector - Black. I ended up carefully blacking out the LED Displays with electrical tape that I took my time with cutting and trimming, which made it look even better in my Media center. You CAN TURN ON AND OFF the Bright blue LED Displays!! When I need to see the AC input and output voltages I press the button and it lights up in stages of brightness. Then when I'm done I just continue to press until the LED Display is OUT. Now the side smaller horizontal LED displays STAY ON AT ALL TIMES however I have them blacked out nicely with black 3M electrical tape and it really looks nice! The SILVER or chrome rings around the two AC LED round volt meters stood out after I blacked my displays so I took small strips of electrical tape and took my time and blacked out the SILVER round trim on the AC Voltage Bezels and NOW the entrie unti is nicely BLACKED OUT and looks very professional in my BDI 8227-2 Media Center with my Above electronics. The AC cord that comes with the unit is Very long. But it is a standard Cord in the electronics industry, So I ordered a much shorter 3ft, (Same Current rating) to keep things neat and tidy. I plugged ALL my electronic items into the Panamax M5400-PM and now only ONE power cord goes to the wall outlet. SO CLEAN and tidy!!!! I purchase with Best Buy so I could retain the 3-Yr warranty. You MUST purchase thru a valid reseller to get the 3-Yr Panamax warranty protection. Best Buy also price matched the item as well. Highly recommend this purchase! I have no annoying Humming issues at all. I am very pleased with this purchase. With over $6k worth electronics plugged into this item, it was well worth the investment and the best thing was how it looked and made everything so stream-lined and clean and tidy. I purchased a very short AC extendion about 5" long for the wall wart adaptor for my 4K Ultra Roku so that it would not block two outlets. For those who do not want to see those bright blue distanting LED's YOU CAN TURN THEM OFF and even BLACK OUT the remaining ones for a totally blacked out look and yet retain the AC Voltage display when you wish to view the input and output regulation voltage. There are 4 or 5 stages of LED brightness and then the next stage turns them off, but the side horiz smaller leds on the left always stay on, I just blacked them out with electrical tape and you can NOT even tell I have them blacked out. Still looks very professional!

Beautifully designed, well built and fits perfectly with all components This looks like a quality component and essentially needs no set up. Plug and play, literally. If it protects my AV system its well worth the investment
