I only buy Panasonic because the inverter system is amazing. Food cooks evenly and the defrost really works, if used properly without cooking your food...I use it all the time; great for last minute food prep. This Microwave is a functional part of my kitchen with senor cooking and reheat. It has an electric blue easy to use dial setting... Plus a really cool feature...at the end of the cook cycle the display says, “Enjoy your meal” That give me a special good feeling in the morning. It’s stainless steel and adds a nice elegant touch to the kitchen. Love it!!! ❤️ Owned my 1st one for 10 years, replaced it 2 years ago and gave to my daughter. Owned this One for 2 Months now... In my opinion it’s the Best Microwave ever. I love Best Buy Price match, I always save, and I have peace of mind with there warranty... :)

This was the only microwave which would fit in the space built in. It is a newer model of a prior one. Functions pretty much the same, but has a few more hot/ cold spots than prior model. Biggest complaint - the dial to set the time. 1. It is cumbersome to use and takes some getting used to. 2. It can only be set to 5 second increments below 60 seconds ant to 10 second increments above that. If you want 1 minute 15 seconds you can't do it.

I came from a drawer microwave which was great but more aesthetically pleasing than functional. The Panasonic is a great looking microwave that actually worked better than the 1k plus sharp. The appearance is great as well. Still getting used to the timer touch dial which can be a bit frustrating without practice. I probably wouldn't get this microwave for my parents for that reason but it is good for me.

like the looks and performance of the microwave! Cooks extremely fast. However, unlike a previous microwave we owned, you cannot cook and use the timer for something else at the same time! Had to buy a seperate timer.

We are very happy with our new Microwave from Panasonic. Takes a few times to get used the dial for time, however, it works wonderfully. Found a great trim from microtrim.com versus buying an off the shelf trim kit for a custom install.

Inverter and sensor reheat nice, but a few quirks

We got this microwave to replace our relatively inexpensive Magic Chef oven that we got from Costco probably 10-15 years ago. That one was still working but would occasionally start to spark if we didn't have too much inside, so we decided it might be better to pre-emptively replace it before it completely broke down on us. The microwave sits in a cut out in our cabinets so we were constrained by size, and for units in the mid-size range we needed, there didn't seem to be too many options. Further, as the reviews for most of these units were not too promising we realized that none of the candidates would be an ideal unit. So aware of the likely drawbacks from others' reviews, we went ahead and tried this one. The good things about this unit from our experience (about 2 months) so far are: -It fits in our space, but still has a decent interior capacity -It looks nice -It cooks evenly and thoroughly -The sensor reheat seems to work very well, just push the button and start, and the microwave seems to find heat the food just the right amount (I end up just using this feature a lot since it's easier than fiddling with the touch wheel controller - see below) Some things that are not so great (i.e. "quirky") are: -It seems to take longer to heat things than our old microwave. I suppose expectations will be relative to whatever one was used to before, but our old cheap microwave heated things up much faster. However, I have to say, that even though this Panasonic is slower, it heats things much more thoroughly (i.e. the centers as well as the outside) and evenly (due to Panny's "Inverter Technology") than our old one, so I guess it is a trade off and though it requires an adjustment in our time expectations, I prefer thorough and more even over faster heating. -The touch wheel controller. I really do not like this, I wish there was a standard numeric touchpad like most other microwaves, or at least a physical knob. Instead, this has a touch wheel like on the older iPods (before the iPod touches came out). I knew this going in, and I knew I probably was not going to like it, but this unit seemed to be the best option based on most everything else and this model didn't come in a numeric touchpad version. Anyway, it's not horrible, but it just takes more effort to get just the right time you want to set, and if you want a longer cook time, you have to go around and around the wheel (hence, I often just select "Sensor Reheat" and am done with it and usually the microwave does a good job). -The blue LCD screen is hard to read unless you are right in front of it. As most units do, when you are not using the unit to cook, the screen displays the time. We used to refer to our old unit's LCD to get the time all the time, it had nice big, easily legible green digits. For some reason, maybe because the LCD is blue on this one, it is hard to read the screen on this unless you are right in front of it (e.g. using it to heat something). It's hard to read in the daytime or with when the lights are one, and it's not that easy even when the lights are off. So now we just have had to train ourselves to look to one of the other clocks when we want to get the time. Not a big deal, but just be aware, it's hard to read the screen unless you are pretty close. -(NOTE: when we got our unit, the tops of some of the numbers -- the 7's and the 0's -- were not displaying properly, so we had to return and exchange it for a new one, and our second one works fine). OVERALL: Despite the few quirks and that we wish we could change a few features (like having a numeric touch pad and an easier to read LCD screen), given what was available I think we would probably buy this again (and recommend to a friend with qualifications) because the inverter technology seems to work well to heat our food thoroughly and evenly, despite taking a longer time compared to our old unit (which was not so thorough and even in its cooking though). Plus, the sensor reheat feature also seems to work nicely. Still, if we could have found a unit slightly bigger that would have still fit in our space, and had the same cooking abilities without the quirks we would have tried that instead. I can't really comment on the longevity as we've only had it for about 2 months, but so far so good. I'm not anticipating that it will last as long as our last one, which technically was still working when we got rid of it, but was only just beginning to show occasional signs of breaking down. Sadly, if this one lasts even half as long, I'd be really (and pleasantly) surprised (though I'm not happy that I have to lower my expectations with respect to the perceived quality of such units now in general). One final note, just in case - because I read that a lot of people had issues with the door latch breaking (we haven't yet) and also that a lot of people seemed to have issues with Panasonic customer service and the warranty (that they were not very good), we elected to get the BB extended warranty on this (it was only about $35 for 2-3 years). I was deciding between the BB extended warranty and a Square Trade one, but in the end went with BB even though it was a few bucks more for a variety of reasons including just being able to bring the unit to the store and let them deal with shipping it back and forth for servicing if the unit ever broke. Plus, I've heard that they're usually pretty good about just replacing the unit if needed. One final, final note: I did not pay BB's list price on this (and wouldn't have bought this unit at that price). Instead, I bought it at BB by PMing AMZ's price, which was almost $85 dollars less. I LOVE BB"s new PM policy and have bought a lot of things at BB by PMing the price to another competitor that I would otherwise not have bought at BB otherwise due to price.

After 1 1/2 yrs this microwave died. I contacted Panasonic & the offered to hv me take it to a service location & for me to pay $39 to hv item evaluated!!! Their cust service is horrific ! I looked on line & many hv the same issue I have. Due to cheap wiring thus product doesn't last 2yrs. I was more fortunate than many others who had a fire due to the cheap faulty wiring. Needless to say I threw it out and after being a loyal cat to Panasonic I will never again purchase their brand! Don't waste ur $ on this microwave !!! Read the complaints on this microwave & the awful & rude cat service provided by Panasonic cust service Dept
