Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the picture quality, price, easy setup, gaming capabilities, color, and reliability of the product. They appreciate the excellent picture quality, affordable price, simple setup process, suitability for gaming, accurate color reproduction, and dependable performance. However, customers are negative about the limited number of HDMI ports, glare issues, poor built-in speakers, and lack of internet connectivity. They would prefer more HDMI ports, reduced glare, better speakers, and internet connectivity options.

The picture is fantastic and I don't really have a problem with the sound. My old surrond sound system didn't hook up to the new TV but I really havn't missed it. I can't wait to see what a blu-ray looks like because my old DVD prayer looks pretty good. The only problem I have found is when you have a large bright background it isn't as bright as I would like it. It only has 2 HDMI ports and it would be nice if it had a couple more. I think it is a wonderful TV for the price.

i bought this tv for $599 when i moved in to my new apt. I read all the reviews and was fairly confident i was making the right choice. Two months in, I am very happy with it. Most of the reviews are very accurate, the picture is GREAT, does not disappoint. The sound is ok, like most flat panel tvs. One thing it lacks is picture tuning/calibrating options. Just basic stuff. But really, it's not needed unless you are really, really picky about your picture, in which case you should be buying a TV that cost at least three times more. The only other complaint i have is having only 2 HDMI inputs. But again, it's not that big a deal considering how awesome the picture quality is, and what i paid.

Thanks to the patience of the Best Buy Sales Associate who listened to my dozens of questions... I spent almost an hour trying to decide which direction to go with my new TV purchase. He kept coming back to this model as the best solution, at the best price... and I agree. Terrific picture quality, good sound, easy to setup , and we are still in the 100 hour burn in for a plasma.. can't wait to see what this looks like in a couple of weeks!

I couldn't be much happier with a TV. The picture quality of the Panasonic models stood out as superior and the quality holds up at home. The set was very simple to set up and needed only minimal color adjustment. Audio quality is -- well, for a flat screen it's not terrible. Overall, I'd suggest you go to the store and compare the pictures. The Panasonics will pop out from the rest.

Originally purchased the Samsung LED 46" for my mother since she has wanted an LED for some time. I was thoroughly disappointed at the quality of the picture with both HD and non HD sources (DirectTv and Roku) and the issue of the picture constantly auto focusing like a camera lens (picture was always blurred and causing headaches). After talking with the Best Buy rep he recommended going with a plasma. I personally own a 60" Pioneer Elite which is no longer being sold. I asked what was the next best that they offered and the rep mentioned the Panasonic since they supposedly purchased the technology from Pioneer. I purchased this model because it didn't make sense to pay more money for the other model since a wireless adapter would have to be purchased in addition to not really needing the features of a smart tv. The tv was simple to set up, however I wish it came with more composite/component connections. I guess most manufacturers are doing this in order to get people to purchase the latest versions of Tivo, DVD players, etc. The picture is excellent without having to switch to DirectTv's HD service. The cannot speak to the tv's speakers and sound quality since I have it connected to a home theater receiver. My mother has not had any complaints as far as difficulty of use as far as the remote control or any other features (72 years old and works/understands a Tivo better than I). She loves the picture quality (no headaches), she can see the tv from the other side of the room with no problems and really enjoys the deepness of the colors. The price was also reasonable ($699).

We purchased this TV for the "family" room in our finished basement. We are thrilled with the picture quality, ease of use, and sound. The boys love gaming on the TV while my daughter loves the quality of the movies. Sports are also a family favorite to watch. So far, we are thrilled with the TV. We were able to purchase the TV at a great price.

I knew I did not need a smart tv as my Blue-Ray covers streaming content. I also have no need for 3-D as it is not my cup of tea, I understand those who like it though. The price, the ease of use, and painless set-up make this a tremendous purchase as far as I am concerned. I am very happy as the picture is so much better than the 37 inch LCD in my bedroom and the rear Projection TV I had before this. I like it , simply put.

I was skeptical with purchasing a plasma TV. I had read of several disappointing reviews with other plasma TVs. One thing I was concerned about was the heat factor. After my purchase I have been completely satisfied. The quality of picture is great and the head produced has been minimal. This was a great purchase for the price.

This was a great value buy in HDTVs! Picture when calibrated was outstanding. Nice contrast and colors. A little dim in the best mode which was custom. Cinema is upgraded and Standard is good too. Vivid and Game are not needed. Sound is adequate, could be deeper but cant expect too much out of a flat panel. Viewing angle will never be a problem and as long as the room is dark enough then this TV is a no-brainer. Also limited connections but all u need for the basics.

I was looking for a new TV and saw all the new led tvs of this size were almost double the price. And it is plasma so no more tion blur issues. This is a great tv would be nice if it had Internet and 3d but that was an extra $100 that I didn't want to spend. Also wish it had more hdmi inputs. Other than that it is a wonderful tv to watch HD tv and movies on.

We were looking for a replacement Samsung TV for the bedroom. Wanted to get another LCD TV but when we saw the picture quality of the Panasonic and how much better it performs in a dark room we quickly went with the Panasonic plasma TV. It's lightweight and it was very easy to set up.

This is by far an upgrade from my last HDTV. As a gamer, I do enjoy the high end refresh rates that allow for a smooth gameplay. And as with most plasmas, every color is clear and noticeably more vivid up against my old LED. There are occasional times that I found dark areas to be a little too dark, and taking care of a plasma is always more work, but for the price of this tv it is well worth it.

My mom and dad are loving this TV for the picture quality and sheer size (they were rocking a massive 27" tube tv from circa 1850) I like it because it was very easy to set up and dial in the picture with the intuitive menus. Sound may not be the best but is decent (I am biased due to my being an audiophile!) overall great price to quality ratio. I highly recommend this tv for everyday use.

Great TV - highly rated and performs as advertised. Bought this for a Christmas present for my wife. Set it up, worked perfectly - for 3 days. Then had a 4" wide blue streak running top to bottom. Service man came to the house and said it was toast (thanks to Panasonic's Concierge Service; Best Buy's "Black-Tie Protection Plan" team said we'd have to bring it back for them to "look at it") . Chalk this one up to mfr defect. Son & wife loaded it back into the box (ugh) and drove the hour back to Best Buy to exchange, but forgot the remote. Wife got home with the new one and we opened the box, only to find that when their people took the remote out of the new box at the store by just opening the narrow box top, they reached down and yanked it out tape and all... and in the meantime, broke the glass screen. Called Best Buy again, they said "bring it back" even though it was broken by them before delivery. So, packed the 2nd one up and this time I drove the hour back to the store for exchange (and made sure the remote was in the box this time). Having learned our lesson the hard way, this time we opened the box at the store to ensure it was not broken. So after a month, and 6 hours diriving back-and-forth, it's working great. Clear, crisp picture and great HD viewing. Buy the "Protection Plan" for long term fixes if you want, but don't expect "Black-Tie" service.

I had owned one of these back in 2007. Had to leave that one behind, but prices have come down considerably since then, and I was ready for an HDTV buy again. The picture on the Pansonic Vieja is excellent, and I'm just using off-air antenna signals from 50 miles away and main channel broadcasts are 1080i and 720p. Sound output is basic. Can't wait for the Blu-Ray experience. I would like a little more variety on panel output options for sound, but it meets my needs. A great basic HDTV for the money.

No surprises here - great Panasonic picture quality and one of the few plasma models available without 3D and web apps that I don't need. I wish they would improve the speakers, but a sound bar fixed that. Only thing I wish it did better was work with a Panasonic sound bar and one remote.

This TV has a great picture quality especially combined with HD channels. Very satisfied when watching sports. Sound system could be better but no complaints. Only 2 HDMI cables but it works for me since I do not hook up many accessories (game machines, blue rays, etc) to the TV.

Today's generation of flat-panel TV's just do not have the internal space for good speakers. This Panasonic sounds really good, but some brands are totally lacking in sound quality. Be sure you test the sound quality in the store for any brand you are looking at to see if it is satisfactory. An additional sound bar or stereo system is a worthwhile investment for any of today's flat panel TV's. Check any national publication or website and you will find Plasma TV's are among the highest rated for picture quality. This is my second Panasonic brand and I would recommend Panasonic to anyone without hesitation. Trouble free and easy to set up. I get many compliments on picture quality.
